1. The beginner banner is fine to roll to get your guarantee S-rank then stop. But it wont go away so you dont technically have to roll it now.

2. I dont think you should roll Collective. You can get a Nox for free for doing your newbie missions (will take you around 7+ days as it's gated unless they changed it) and the other sinners are all standard banner characters so you can lose 50/50 to them

3. If you want, you can try to roll the new event banners (Jasmine and Parfait). They both slot into more "modern" teams but you wont have all the members for a while since you're new.

Jasmine is part of the "bleed" (or also called "life loss") team which at the very least also requires Dreya (and fully consists of Dreya, Levy, Sumire and Pepper). Parfait supports core breaking Umbras, so you would want to use her with sinners like Bai Yi, 000, Graves, Angell, Mantis or Adela to name a few.

I did two ten pulls on the collection (one was discounted and one was from a free 10 roll coupon specific for that banner) and the two on beginner banner so I have at least a few units.

I got the Hamel guaranteed S rank, Levy, Roulecca and Thalia for A ranks and a ton of B ranks including four additional copies of EMP (would that make her usable long term or are B units simply too bad?)

Congrats on getting Hamel, she's going to be very useful.
I wouldn't recommend rolling the standard banner, even if you want more units. Generally I'd say there's two good approaches: save your cubes until an event banner comes up that has a unit you want, then roll for it. Or save your cubes until anniversary/half-anniversary, which always have banners for limited sinners that you can't get outside these special events, and then roll like crazy. The reason being that while rolling on those event or limited banners, you are still going to get the sinners that are on the standard banner as a by-product.
If you wanna roll right now to get more units I'd roll on one of the two ongoing event banners. Since you already have Levy you could go for Jasmine since at some point you are going to end up with a Dreya and bleed is a pretty nice team. Otoh Parfait might be a bit more flexible since she doesn't require super specific team mates to work.
As far as B-ranks goes, no they aren't bad in general. Labyrinth and Che are definitely worth raising even when thinking long term, as is Pepper if you're going for the bleed team. Short term EMP is okay as she's not terrible but she's not going to be able to compete with the better recticle sinners around when you get into endgame stuff. But the good thing about B-ranks is they are very cheap to raise and as far as the content goes that you are going to face now levels will easily trump specific skill sets, so you aren't wasting much if you raise her.
An important thing to note for this game is that duplicates for sinners aren't as important as they are in some other games. There's a lot of sinners that are going to perform very well at 0 shackles (0 duplicates) as long as you raise the character level and skill levels, so you really don't have to limit yourself too much in your choices by who you got shackles for.

as for B ranks, Labyrinth is actually really useful in late game. Che is good too but his utility's been powercrept but he's cheap to raise and in the early game, S-ranks are just really expensive and take a long time to build.

As for shackles, is there a reason not to shackle? I used them all up, assuming there wouldn't be a worthwhile alternative (I think some do but for the vast majority it's not worth doing any possible conversions or whatever)

If you have a mark (the thing you get for a duplicate, that you can then use to shackle) for a specific sinner there is no reason not to use it to add that shackle. There exists an alternative to using sinner specific marks in the form of general sinner marks (which come in b, a and s rank) but these are the ones you want to hold onto, especially s-rank, since there's relatively few sources and you can use them on anyone, so you wanna be sure about who you feed them to.

Saying that there is no hard content is a bit of an exaggeration. What is true though is, that there isn't really going to be anything in the campaign or normal event stages that's really hard, you are gonna breeze through that with a decently built and levelled team except for the odd stage here and there. The hard content is usually more about endgame activities, stages that want you to beat certain scores and similar things, that are pretty much optional.

There is no hard content when even the Dark Zone got dumped down and is about to get upgraded into another Depths clone in the next two months. The only people who struggle to get 240,000 points are people like the pants poster that straight up refuses to use characters and learn mechanics. The last hard EX stage I can think is the one from Adela's event with one ghost lady.

Don't hate the game, hate the way communities are.

Interestingly enough harder gacha games still exist, they just don't get to be as successful as the big guys in the scene. Case in point might be Etheria Restart, a game that had a general of its own for close to 20 days before it died. Partly because there is a ingame guild with a decent chat option so whoever was interested just used it but also partly because people were unhappy with how time consuming and hard it was.

Sumire, Pepper and Levy are all in the Depth ( a game mode) shop so if you pick Dreya you can build bleed team which is an actual team.
5. If you are sure you wanna do bleed team, roll event for Jasmine. Or just roll both new event characters for fun.

"Fuck you" basically. It's weird to me because when I started, the game was really well calibrated to go through up until chapter 8 with Nox helping, then they went overboard with the rustfire stages (EN has a nerfed version), dialed it back for the next ones, and we're back to "lmao fuck you" stages. We're at a point where bosses like Jasmine can kill an S Endura with Hamel healing them, so I guess non long time players can just forget about clear rewards for months.

You can sadly only have one. I usually have it parked on a single sinner, unless I'm doing ToA or something like that, in which case I switch to whoever gives the biggest benefit to the team (not necessarily carries, supporters like LL do really well with it). Can't really give you a general recommendation on what to use instead, that depends too much on individual sinners. If I really don't know what to do though I usually just slap an energy set or embrace on people.

You mean mania essence? Each of the levels of Ill Ommen gives you more of the stuff. It goes something like 3k -> 5k -> 7k -> 9k -> 15k. I honestly don't know how strong your sinners need to be to be able to do V, but once you reach that (or honestly IV already), you should be fine.

Hamel is a safe pick if you need a healer for story.
You can ignore Enduras, Demolia (B rank) holds her own into endgame.
Supports are very strong in this game, and Enfer was so strong for so long they had to indirectly nerf her by making every boss CC immune down the stretch.
I would avoid: Zoya, Langley, Stargazer, Bai Yi, Crache, Demon, Eirene, Etti, Serpent, Oak, Dreya, Adela, Rahu, Mantis, Eleven, Eve.
Yes, Eleven and Eve are good, no, they are not affordable to build for a newcomer. Ditto Dreya who wants specific partners.
Serpent is okay but dated.
There is a big asterisk to this: Bai Yi, Summer's reforge makes them good, but the reforge is EXPENSIVE to unlock (and I don't even when does it unlock in the story progress for new players).

Your account is bound to the server that you selected when you created it. You can make an EU account while in the US and you can continue playing a US account when in the EU, but you are tied to the server you chose.

Farm mania essence from the highest stage you can. From I-IV it's a pretty gradual increase as far as essence per energy goes (210->235->292->306) but with IV to V you have a huge jump (306->500). So the only case where I'd hold off farming is if you are on IV and close to being able to do V.
