Should I multi into this as part of my crit threshold build in my next playthrough? (melee Sneak Attack Rogue with the mobile feat to simulate the TTRPG experience)
So far the only class I know I want is Swashbuckler 3 or Thief 3 (aka Rogue starter is mandatory). I haven't made any solid plans as yet but I'm tentatively thinking Rogue 4 (for mobile feat) plus Fighter 4. (for ASI or Savage Attacker or something. Maybe Alert?)

There's a cape that lowers the threshold by another 1 if you're hiding (which is why I haven't decided between Thief or Swashbuckler as yet), and Orin's Netherstone dagger and the Dead Shot bow also have the same effect as Undermountain Sarevok's hat as well. I may even run Viciousness just for fun. All of those would mean an attack roll of 13 or higher crits.

The curse would lower that threshold to 12, but I'm worried about the fact it says my weapon will run off charisma rather than dexterity or strength if I bind it.
Which origin do you think is better though: Halfling for negating 1's and advantage on stealth, or Astarion for the Ascendant 1d10 necrotic? Actually if I choose Halfling Durge and accept Bhaal I could get another -2 to crit rolls for the Upper City half of the game. Just walking around invisible critting everyone in sight.

if you're particularly concerned just scoop up bodies and leave em at camp through act 1. since you won't be able to cast animate dead until level 5 and you don't benefit from the necromancy subclasses until level 6 you should be in a huge excess by the time you're even able to cast it. there are also places where you don't need a body to animate dead in act 2 so you can exploit when you have the chance.

I have the more encounters + miniboss mod, but is there anything else?
I believe the mod that lets you have more party members actually has a built in scaling option, that lets you increase enemy hp or something but I'm unsure about it.

i'm just trying to make it work for myrmidon form because i find that really cool. playing this shit until level 10 just to do that fucking sucks though.

i'm also torn on whether berserker thrower or eldritch knight is better. eldritch knight can give itself a couple 'until long rest' buffs, throw or melee without there being much difference. in fact barbarian berserker and fighter are really similar and i haven't worked out which thing i'd even want to use. i also haven't worked out how to give myself proficiency with a flail for the myrmidon thing later but i guess i have the entire game to think about it.

i also wanted to try death domain cleric and somehow have the bonuses to necrotic damage apply to spore druid but that also seems like a shit idea. maybe a death domain cleric/oath breaker paladin would be good too but i don't see any synergy yet.

i know everything can beat tactician and if i really wanted to metagame, i'd just steal morgana's stealth archer but i do want the shit i do to at least be viable for tactician (technically everything is but some things are obviously better than others)

On its own? Well, druids have different "tiers" as you progress and level up: you start bonking shit with Shillelagh, then you learn a few spells, and then you specialize in your subclass.

Spore makes it so you can add little, but constant damage to your attacks, so that your UNGA BUNGA tactits are a little more effective, and the additional HP are nice.
Summoning spore druids can be effective, use them as "spore shields", or to kite enemies away and spam spells on them.

But the real kicker is when you multiclass in something like Monk, or say Fighter: flurry of blows, extra attacks, you name it: then you add that little Necrotic damage, then put Symbiotic Entity into the equation, gear like Cacophony Staff: now you're dealing with a little powerhouse, and this character can tank enemies, support others with heals,debuffs,buffs, the works! Or cast spells from afar, and of course summon a good amount of minions.

So yeah, I really REALLY like Spore Druids.

I tend to play high elf and drow so I always have that empty inventory slot, unless you take the feat to dual wield staffs, which can be good. There are some good staffs and not all of them require you to have it in your main hand. But even in that case, you're spending a feat just to fill your equipment slots, which human/helves get for free.
