No, you will probably pull aggro, at least with blizzard you. An stay further back and if you pull threat, they are already slowed so the tank can grab them.

Even with blizzard, your tank will probably hate you for not targetting the main target. I'd only do it if you have a paladin tank using consecrate and shield spike for a couple seconds first.
