WoW Classic has basically nothing to offer outside of that one streamer event thing, MoP wasn't all that popular of an expansion (and isn't Vanilla).
Retail has a seasonal model which a lot of people are becoming disillusioned with, Blizzard has long since ignored their playerbase, Housing is however long off and as cool as housing is, its not anything new to MMOs. Retail is just do your weeklies do Raids and Maze.

OSRS on the other hand, doesn't take away player power, is very active with their community (see: polling for updates and devblogs), is constant in its setting and gameplay, you're shown what you get, and has no MTX outside of Bonds, which WoW has tokens so no bitching or you'll get my shoe.

This is coming from someone with WoW open right now, and although I have played OSRS since I was a kid I don't have a sub right now and am only subbed to WoW. I don't think WoW is going anywhere and doomposting is for annoying faggots.
