What finally works, is to hide. The simple answers are the best answers. Cower like a coward and find cover. Seems like just delaying the inevitable, but no. There is exactly one good place to take cover, and you can shoot missiles around the corner from back there. Finally a stat that works. Finally finished the mission without a single scratch on me. Tier 4 over, and I can gradually forget everything I learned along the way.

Anyone else having problems with Mutt getting supplies after paying him for it? I always pay him as opposed to collecting supplies, and it not only feels longer till he finally gets them, but like the game simply breaks and doesn't do a timer at all and at times, doesn't even get the supplies, like I buy it in one session, quit the game, come back and there's no supplies while the product bar stays the same. Is this just me?

What competition? Watch Dogs and Saints Row killed their own franchise by simply not understanding their audience. They were mid games gut fun. I very much enjoyed SR2 and WD1. Whilst technically worse than GTA they still amused me. If we go the route to include Far Cry, that franchise died after peaking at FC3.
Will GTA VI really be better or just the same and look better? RDO had better hair, god rays, particle effects, an engaging map and despite being niche with cowboys it was fun. GTA VI will suffer from severe overhype syndrome regarding the Online part, the singleplayer will be groundbreaking but only because narrative plots on rails are easy to direct with good screenplay writers.
I am not gaslighting myself that the Online won't be heavily subscription based gacha slop with more annoying grinding mechanics. It will be like the garment factory: Lots of mid 153k dollar missions and some "priority one" that is actually worth it and then locks itself. Cayo and acid lab are way too spammable for R* to make the same mistake.
Of course young shits will praise it no less, because it was their first GTA. I'm sure a lot of jaded boomers like myself will give their virtual character the rope once they realize there are no new mechanics other than shiny graphics. It's a Potemkin village. Yeah, all probably true. I'm not 100% commited to pessimism with regard to it but my hopes aren't high and rockstar knows how to manipulate people. We know these companies use social engineering scientists and such. Considering the market it is why wouldn't they? They also know that they can rest on no more than the buy in that is peoples hype. It's director mode. When you record in game (down on d-pad then a on xbox or x on playstation, or f1 on PC, the clips saved can be used in the rockstar editor. You access that through story mode. In online it doesn't show up in the pause menu, but just flick through in story mode and you'll see it, IF you're on next gen. On last gen they removed it, allegedly for performance reasons, due to all of the updates. You can make little movies with it, compile different recordings together, etc. Go to whatever part of the clip you want, hit enter (or the console equivalent) then go to cameras, switch it to free camera, then you can move it around and orient it how you want, zoom in to bring the background closer, zoom out for fisheye lense, etc. Press H on PC to hide the hud, and then I just use F12 for the steam screenshot. Also, particle affects and lighting affects don't show up till you play the clip, so you can quickly tap space to play it and pause it again to get them to pop in. Takes some messing around but it's pretty straightforward. I've yet to try making a mini film with it.
