It's not just Rune, but sword if they have half a brain can counter any 1 drop I play with lance trooper if they're going 2nd, then I either need to kill lance trooper, or they will just vomit out rush officers or other followers to clear my shit. I can't really afford to clear their board without just using aragavy, and I can't always draw him.
Likewise, portal auto counters if they run any puppet stuff, and artifacts let them clear boards or just heal out of kill range for free.

Sweetfangs? I use rage to trade when it I get Beryl out, or to clear wards. Same with ghosts.as long as it's a good trade and or there's a risk taking damage will kill me. Either way, a lot of the time I find that if I'm not smashing face as much as possible, I will lose horribly to getting out valued or boardwiped.
I was diamond last season before settling in sapphire, and this season I got to sapphire again without too many issues when my luck wasn't awful, and every deck wasn't running a bunch of anti aggro and healing. I have a 20% win these last 30 games, and dropped to topaz trying to make this shit work.

They need to nerf dclimb and albert.
Otherwise they will keep dominating the meta FOREVER.

More and more storm cards are coming out and albert able to insta kill you the moment you're 12hp which is EASY to achieve is too strong.
And dclimb with satan makes any control deck utterly fucking worthless and pointless, it will ALWAYS dominate any game that ever dares to extend beyond 10 turns.

I'm playing control abyss in AA diamond and pretty much my entire ladder is rune and sword. Some days I literally don't see a single deck other than those two. I feel like both matchups are 50/50-ish. It's just literally not possible. I tried everything, had perfect games where I was ahead by a mile. I only have 112 Rune wins, but I'm really fatigued.
Maybe it's because I've played too much in just 2 weeks~, but the more I play it, especially the dirt/hybrid variant, the less I feel in control of my outcomes.

That's going to happen regardless of what deck, Artifact is probably the most consistent because you can build the board clear, healing, or face damage as you see fit but even that's reliant on Karula and Allloute. With Sword mirrors, if you go first you can lose the game basically on turn 5 of the opponent gets Zirconia and has any board at all on t4 when they evo. Whether or not you prefer that to rune mirrors is up to you, the games are quicker at least.

I think Rune has more moving parts and more to account for(and dopamine rushes from playing dclimb), Sword is very straightforward in comparison.

Norman murders artifact strategy to win.

You have weak early game so you lose to highroll sword on turn 4.
if you don't get allouetes or cannon you can't answer zirconia and die.
If you can't answer yurius you die.

Forest can poke you much more easily now.

Ward Haven on perfect curve completely stops artifact until turn 5, when it's too late. And even then beta spam may still work.

Portal mirrors are still whoever goes second wins.

Abbyss is pretty good but not guarenteed win against aggro, and control abbyss.

Anyway, It feels like you're playing in disadvantage at all turns in the game.

Why did they make Synchronous Hearts so underpowered? It should have been 5pp at best

Don't worry, it's an actual hard aggro deck to play for once in almost forever. You've to properly manage evolve orders (as in what you evolve in which order), play based on hoping a top deck finisher (usually your storm guys) and actually your healing which is something Blood hasn't done in years due to stupid healing cards since Omens. Mulligans are super matchup based, you usually want a strong start. Full gas against slow decks and effective trades against decks with early gas. Aragavy is a must keep in all hands, Excella is bad in mirrors and Bat generators are usually a must keep as well since healing is what won't leet other decks outaggro you. Odin is a keep if the hand is good. Keep Mummy over bat spell against Sword because of maid. Prioritize Beryl against Rune and Portal. Always think on the lethal range the opponent's pp will have next turn and heal accordingly, let them build a board and go full face if you can drop Aragavy in the following turn. Don't underestimate the Olivia 2 ping as part of your lethal line, they do a lot of work when its paired with a Bat for the 4 healing. I'm not the best player in the world but hope this helps. Beta spam isn't enough against Rune anymore so that matchup is unfavorable now, you have a much harder time killing them before turn 10.
Gamma spam isn't enough against Sword anymore since they got arguably the biggest boost of all classes with the new set.
Roach is roach, they never cared about a ward or two so the new cards don't help you there.
Still fine against other tier 2 decks but yeah.

Too much set up for too little pay off. Rune plays full boards of some of the best followers in game and is rewarded with a guaranteed OTK that doesn't even need evo. Artifact jumps through hoops for 10 damage storm, and artifact followers aren't half as good as rune's, nor do they have the survivability of rune. The class is just too weak now. The artifacts feel like a tax rather than a bonus, just like haven's amulets.

I got enough vials to make either a whole abysscraft deck or a mostly finished ward havencraft deck, which do you guys think is better? People shit on havencraft but I'm only B rank so I don't think it matters much and I really like how all the leggos compliment each other.

Apollo and Balto are cards of equal quality, Apollo is useful in 45% of the matchups (picrel) while Balto is always useful. It's a pick your poison situation, Olivia is actually really good a jp streamer sold me on it, you always mulligan her out and she win you longer games you need heal and cards to finish in turn 8. No other card can do something similar in this craft.

NTA but Orthrus is damn near useless and you have Sweetfang and Ghosts to make trades. Apollo isn't flexible or strong enough offensively to warrant inclusion imo. Balto is also way better since he guarantees 4 damage. That matters more than you think. Olivia into Mummy is always free real estate, same with Ghosts. Vuella is used in a similar capacity. You have to maximize your reach as much as possible because by that point other decks are starting to drop bombs.
