It's a side effect of UE5, but not because of how UE5 renders things. It's because modern devs use all the preset stuff for everything. Hair looks like shit because devs aren't properly making sure the transperency settings on hair models are set correctly They just go with what's in the base game.

UE5 has universally SHIT optimization because it's BASE setting shit. When people say UE5 games are badly optimized because devs aren't doing it, it's meant in the literal sense. They aren't changing much of what's already preset. UE5's biggest fault was being plug in and dev. Everything being there already led to lazy/bad devs getting to skip so many steps in the game dev process to the detriment of it all.

Basically, the entire rendering style in UE is built around TAA. Temporal Anti-Aliasing is a method of AA that upscales from a smaller resolution, which looks like shit if it's not set properly (more complicated to explain, or I'm just not good at it) for different objects, like hair or grass textures. They'll just entirely rely on TAA for everything. There’s nothing relevant that was possible in UE3 and isn’t with UE5. You could make basically any UE3 game with UE5 and not even use up all that much more performance. You might even get better performance in quite a few situations. We are just in a period where everything is made to run with an upscaler, so the developers will not do proper optimization and rather rely on forcing the player to play with an upscaler at any resolution, forcing massive shitty blurring.

We have old school solutions like MSAA. Multi Sampling Anti Aliasing. Aka, you render the image at a higher resolution and then scale it down to look smoother. Slightly oversimplified but that’s the gist. Unfortunately this means that you multiply the amount of pixels exponentially. Double the resolution is quadruple the pixels. It was quite possible to do this with 720p games. But when players expect 4K 60fps it starts to get real rough on performance and would force you to cut back on visual quality and scene complexity big time... the problem is... not everyone is running shit at 4k to begin with. I know I'm just all over the place. It's just a very big issue that spans all around game dev. It's not just devs being BAD or fucking lazy at developing, it's them being super out of touch as well.

When they released season 1 they released inversion missions that featured somewhat complicated puzzles and dared the players to remember things for more than 5 seconds. The players bitched for a few days and they nerfed those missions to what you see today. It only took them about a week to do so. They have done similar things with colossi in the past.

I think the only reason they did the demo was to see if players were going to bitch about the mission you do before you fight the boss. There are mechanics that are not just run around in a circle and kill everything.

They are unironically too smart to relate to some of the retards (blacks) playing the game so the demo gives them a heads up if they've good too far again.

That's really the only thing the demo does, you barely see Wallcrasher and you get on your bike for 10 seconds. The Nell build they provided is trash.

Look at the floor and jump while casting boins, you want the boins be stacked as possible. Usually a good run is by the time of 9mins or 8:55 she should not have shield and what about rage? For low clear times you have to stop her globe. How? Break a part when she casts globe, that is why I use malevolent with 2 fire mods and 2 weak point mods. If you can't do that your run will be 2:20 or above which is good in top 100, the fight is rng because of her if she doesn't move a lot or doesn't blast you with horizontal shotgun you good. Also by the love of God if you see her on a slope. Dead run. You can't stack boins perfectly so reset. It is incredibly rng but a good 2:20 or above you can do it. If you have questions ask.

Based sharenchad. You should build an ambush/kings guard lance build now that the gun was buffed. Sharen can run vep30 now, slower than others but very competently. And fun. I use a hybrid of ornery build and moxsys new build and focus on both gun dmg and skill damage as opposed to all the way in either direction. works really well.

Which is why it's not justified. It's artificial. They used to release hairstyles by themselves. They stopped when it proved retards were willing to buy costumes they wouldn't use solely for a hairstyle. You can milk $15 out of a single skin purchase by binding it to a hairstyle people want.

The craziest part of people buying bundles just to farm likes on this thread or the reddit forums you know they aren't playing more than half of the Descendants regularly. No offense to Viessa, but her swimsuit skin last round wasn't that good. People are paying top dollar for content they will never equip.

I doubt they're using the "data" properly. Whales will buy bundles anyway. You can still get plenty of extra sales from smaller fish or dolphins by selling them a bunch of hairstyles. There's a reason why so much of this game has changed and failed in numbers. They are simply inept at how they handle things. Universal skins were proven to sell more than the dumb original idea they had of releasing 2-3 character exclusive skins in a span of 2 months. Having completely limited skins that would never return was also a dumb idea that ultimately came back to bite them.

All of these greed tactics make more sense for games that are actually successful. When you have the player numbers, you have a much wider next to draw from.
