Not really. I like to laugh at Mareachers (but I'd certainly take them over Suzannefag at this point), but Mario and Peach aren't in a relationship. Nintendo never made them boyfriend and girlfriend. Nintendo doesn't want to commit to romance, so they're going to be good friends with romantic undertones until Nintendo finally decides they want to change the status quo again.

I can't even beging to understand the pretzel logic of a brain that genuinely cares about stuff like relationships in a Mario game. I love these games deeply but the characters just flat out don't have enough depth or chemistry or anything with narrative weight to warrant giving a shit about if Mario and Peach are a thing or not.

Finally beat the game yesterday, and it all kind of fell apart at the end

K. Rool's grand return felt pretty underwhelming for me. No new alter ego or persona, he didn't really even talk like himself or have any distinct mannerisms. He felt like Smash Bros. K. Rool (his model looked like it was ripped straight out of that game), or Bowser in a K. Rool skin with shallow references to the past games.

There should be a game where we play as bowser creating obstacle courses in an attempt to stop mario by using a limited amount of resources to create a mario maker-styled level, mario is either controlled by a cpu or a 2nd player (if its the latter then you'd get even more resources), needing to find a way to softlock mario or you get one of bowser's troops to defeat mario or the timer runs out, everytime mario loses a life, he gets better at completing the level but you also get to change the level layout in between each of mario's attempt so you can strategically trip his cpu ai up, you get 4 tries (basically a full world) and once cpu mario loses all of his lives, you win and you move on to the next world where cpu mario's skills will increase to the point where he does kaizo-level strats in world 8 (in-universe, the explanation for mario reviving would be luigi or someone else handing him 1-ups like in super mario world), if you won in more than 4 worlds, you defeat mario and bowser stays with the princess, while if you lost in more than 4 worlds, mario rescues the princess successively, if you got a 4-4 win/lose ratio, mario and bowser just yell at each other until peach leaves in frustration, or maybe luigi comes in and rescues peach while bowser and mario are distracted
