Not really. I like to laugh at Mareachers (but I'd certainly take them over Suzannefag at this point), but Mario and Peach aren't in a relationship. Nintendo never made them boyfriend and girlfriend. Nintendo doesn't want to commit to romance, so they're going to be good friends with romantic undertones until Nintendo finally decides they want to change the status quo again.

I can't even beging to understand the pretzel logic of a brain that genuinely cares about stuff like relationships in a Mario game. I love these games deeply but the characters just flat out don't have enough depth or chemistry or anything with narrative weight to warrant giving a shit about if Mario and Peach are a thing or not.

Just start smashing into the landscape and you can get chests with maps for fossil and banandium gem locations. But something to keep in mind is that there are usually multiple sub layers in a layer, and the maps for fossils in sub layers you haven't gone to yet won't show up.

Finally beat the game yesterday, and it all kind of fell apart at the end

K. Rool's grand return felt pretty underwhelming for me. No new alter ego or persona, he didn't really even talk like himself or have any distinct mannerisms. He felt like Smash Bros. K. Rool (his model looked like it was ripped straight out of that game), or Bowser in a K. Rool skin with shallow references to the past games.

First of all, this is the first DK game in over a decade, and in over TWO decades since the latest mainline appearance of the kremlings. As we see ingame, they were trapped underground and put in stasis.

It is a bad translation that turns ambiguous relationship into 1 only path. Especially when 2 of them have been given official moments of mutual love, and at least 1 of them has been shown greater affection then just seeing the other as a friend in games.
