My two greatest desires for KH4 are a weapon mode that includes a big greatsword like cloud and longsword like ultimate form and more npc interactions

I'm a slut for over the top cinematic qtes i hope kh4 brings back that kh2 energy when it comes to the qtes, that real god of war og trilogy, cc2 naruto ultimate ninja and asura wrath type of shit. KH2 for the most part just let you mash through them without penalty anyway. Xemnas might have the only RC where you get less reward for mashing instead of waiting till the last moment. I'm more concerned we'll have lots of press x to not die shit. In KH2 most defensive RCs weren't explicitly required to deal with an attack. Your regular defensive options would work in most cases. For example Sephiroths opening attack can be dodged, reflected, or i-framed through.

KH has always been shit compared to real action games, and even other ARPGs. There's not much strategy beyond some bosses because everything staggers. And of course everything has absurd tracking and closing power so you can just mash and the game will play itself. Tales, Nier, and Souls all have more in depth combat.

The more complete build of Missing Link has been disputed on discord and there hasn't been any new stuff seen from it during the last months. I'm not to sure what to think about it anymore, those leaked Keyblades model look real but there hasn't been any confirmation they really are.

It's Kingdom Hearts. You press X to attack, and press triangle to do something special. Occasionally a square press when you play on a difficulty that isn't Standard or sometimes Proud.

KH2 cultists (not fans) need to get over themselves. If people wanted action complexity, they'd play Devil May Cry or Bayonetta. Instead we've spent every entry after it showing that compromising level design for combat was a pointless decision, starting with its own Final Mix.

That's why there are only a handful of world mods anyway and I think only one for KH2 (Atlantica switched for the Mirage Arena).

Just importing a whole KH world to another game would not work since there's a shitton of shit that needs to be coded again in the ""new game engine"" like collisions, teleports, triggers, path finders, enemy spaws, stage animations, skyboxes, npcs, interactable elements like save points, etc.
Take the Neverland world in the Nobody May Cry mod, that shit was in theory an easy world swap since they only imported the low poly-ish stage from the DS game and that whole level is basically a huge empty room with a few platforms here and there

ngl most of that shit sounds like simple coordinate setting or otherwise unnecessary polish that can be passed off to the future or never. I'd be happy with no complex lighting, animations or moving parts as long as the floors and walls are solid.
