I'm halfway through Abyss 2 (I think?) and not a single steel-grade piece of gear I've found is better than the iron I've been wearing since abyss 1. Even when I find a decent looking steel weapon it has garbage rolls and the +ATK on my iron stuff pulls it significantly ahead. I thought I was just too lucky with my iron stuff at first but these enemies hit like freight trains and my guys are struggling to kill them fast enough so maybe not.

Some unique skills are good, some aren't. Alice's is great. One dupe will extend buffs/debuffs by one turn for the character.

played around four hours straight. i waited for jp voices and i am glad they released them. it was not easy to look at this game ever other week and not being able to play. fuck dub. my first impressions so far are very positive. its actually a proper drpg. i wish the graphics were a little better on mobile but the way it currently is has its own charms. i am glad that the battle system seems to have some depth to it and its not some slop made by experience. what i find annoying are the weird crashes on mobile. if on 2x speed, be it battle or autorun, the game starts flickering and dropping frames/freezing up. luckily, all you have to do is restart and you are back where you left off. unsure about the monetization since i dont know how generous they are with free gems but i guess its alright. i got lana and her passive heal makes early game a breeze. i have been reading more than i have been playing and the moment i realized that, i thought to myself "aah, now this is a drpg. it has been a while". it definitely scratches the itch, even if it is "just" a gacha. maybe the gacha stigma needs to go, because i keep seeing gacha games that are better than your traditional video games. 8.2/10 so far for Daphne. alice a cute.

the EXP grind gets very insane later on so the passes are almost mandatory if you want to preserve your sanity, especially if you are trying to catch up to current content.

What's up with this Goblin quest in the very first floor of the game? Shit was harder than the first boss. Was completely surprised that i suddenly had to fight seven or eight little and big goblins in a single encounter. My Yeka thankfully was able to cast sleep and blind while Alice increased evasion, but damn. Iaru is easily the best nuke because hes the most flexible, safe, and easy to use.
He nukes from the back row, his nuke can't miss, he can hit any enemy in any row with it, and for equips all he needs are mag, aspd, and sur. He doesn't even need any fodder because mental unity, tzalik, and lacones are all he uses.

Meanwhile sam is locked to the front row, can and will miss, can't target the enemy back rows, and is desperate for every stat in the game so the equipment they need to function at even a basic level is insane. And that's not even mentioning how they're huge resource sinks, gobbling up all your skill scrolls and defensive inherits.

Kind of, yeah. You only want to cast an elemental spell with someone of the same element because they get a bonus, so she should learn Migal if anything, but her class change is Mage so she'll already learn it if you class change her later on.
Also she has an attack already, Secret Art. Put her in the back middle to use it.
In general, don't Discipline or Inherit until much much later when you know everything. You don't ever need to do it to progress anyway

The new update seems to have brought back a rather enjoyable glitch.
After a battle, selecting the MC and then using the auto-heal feature fully heals the party/removes all status ailments but doesn't consume any MP (or at least it does for me on an android phone).
The only downside is it sometimes causes the MC to stay keep his arm raised and his head lowered even after exiting the menu so you have to do the virgin-walk around the dungeon looking at the floor until you change floors.

There kinda same amount of enemies, patrolling same spots every run. You'll gonna get used to it. Try not to run into undetected mobs to reduce amount of ambushes. Also bring Yeka and put MC in front, so if fuck up happens and only MC is dead you can 'Accept Death' and lose just 10 fort to everyone.
The real problem is, despite I can run this for 10 hours straight - junk drop rate feels like shit. Yes it's 20% for purple, but sometimes you get like 4 Fey junk in 6 hours and everything not Fey can't drop 4* at all. Chests on map are also almost non-existant, you can get like 1 in 5 runs, if you're lucky.

I barely scraped through the Advanced boss with a few clutch resurrections. You need to be constantly applying BALTIGRIEF - yes, they can clear them, but that will eat their action and BALTIGRIEF's slowing effect will delay the next turn they take even if they clear it that turn.

If you can't get your EVA up high enough to reliably dodge hits from both bosses (my gear wasn't good enough), you can try tucking one mage in the back behind the MC (who tends to be naturally tankier) and keep up MAKALTU (higher level the better) to let you soak more hits before having to heal and thus not straining your action economy as much. Keeping up BALAFEOS also helps - yes, they dispel it, but again that means they aren't attacking, and if they are, the damage will be reduced.
Inflicting Confusion on the fairy will prevent her from using her Charm/sleep arrows or spells (she still hits very hard and accurately though so depends on which threat you feel you can manage better). The Minotaur has more HP so you can then focus attacks on it until the confusion wears off.
I had Sheli on the front line as well, her evade boost really helped a lot with reducing incoming damage.

I did the beginner and intermediate at 50 with wanderer MC (50:W/K/F/T/P), Adam, and Yeka (who has inherited Madios); no scrolls or potions. Neither Adam nor Yeka have been round tripped. I'm at like floor 4 of Abyss 3, but I haven't tried the advanced trial because I felt like the intermediate was a bit much. Definitely was missing the secret La*spells, and MC having mage skills felt like it would have helped too.
