Missed the new thread, so reposting:

1a. Use a scoped weapon and take out the head. Scythe is also good for this since it has zero recoil and inflicts zero stagger so it's easy to just trace your crosshair over the head.

1b. If your scoped weapon is AP3, pummeling the torso with enough bullets can result in a kill.

2. Go for the backpack, it's taller than the shield and blowing it up instantly kills the Devastator. It's stationary like the torso so it should be easy to focus down and destroy.

3. Focus its right leg, which isn't as protected by the shield. It jostles around a bit as it walks, but destroying either leg is an instant kill.

4a. Just use an explosive weapon and aim straight for center mass, explosions will knock the shield aside and inflict heavy stagger on the Devastator, leaving its torso wide open for follow-up shots. While it's staggered from explosions it can't shoot back at you, rendering it completely helpless. Autocannon, Grenade Launcher, Exploding Crossbow, Punisher Plasma, charged Purifier, Loyalist, you name it.

4b. The Wasp auto-locks and does enough explosive damage to outright kill it in one or two hits, requiring zero effort from you outside of being far enough away that the missiles can reliably home in.

Things swung in the other direction because of how strong backpacks are now. Recoilless is still the strongest in its field because the damage it deals still exceeds various breakpoints versus EAT and Quasar, but backpacks offer flexibility in non-AT areas and that can be a boon in situations where AT isn't a huge problem (against squids, in megacities, etc.).

I use this motto a lot but figuring out how to actually make a decent 3d model for yet another bodysuit mod this game is going to have takes priority over baking a thread. And now I see I made a mistake with the design of it because I should have used classic chastity belt design instead of low rise panties design. This was originally pure latex bodysuit design but I followed the lines of the sheet cuts instead of disregarding them in favor of proper design. Now I'm probably going to have to discard this version because the game uses straight cuts for the model and I have no idea if the model is going to behave properly if I make the cuts for the model in the V shape for waist rather than plane cut.

Not to mention that bots are the faction that fights you at range, where there's very little pressure to fight at point-blank melee range and thus you have all the time in the world to get behind cover and stationary reload. But with bots, most of those targets don't require Recoilless-tier damage to kill in one shot, and there are so very many targets, so an ammo-independent AT option like Quasar or EAT is still better in the long run.

Most of the targets for AT are big and slow so you can deal with them in your own time. With bugs the things that need AT are chargers and bile titans which generally need to be dealt with immediately. The impaler isn't so bad because it's slow and exposes a massive front facing weak point that any red stratagem will direct hit and kill it. Squids don't really have anything that requires AT at all now that I think about it.

It honestly is kind of hard to judge how effective the weapon is due to how much the spread fucks it up. From what little I've used of it in bot megacities, it really doesn't feel overly effective.

I'm not overly convinced that it can do its job any better than the Wasp (which not only has more than twice the ammo but also rapid-fire capability and extreme engagement range) or Railgun (almost as much single-target damage with more ammo and no stationary reload). Yeah, it feels satisfying to charge shots and let 'er rip, but it's a pain in the ass to be constantly reloading and the results of each shot don't always feel worth it.

I like the idea of a warbond built around strategems but your idea sucks
The radio backpack should actively improve strategems. Depending on the type you should get more bombs, a larger blast radius, or faster reloading when using strategems while the backpack is on your back. The same applies to nearby allies.
I also want a laser designator as a sidearm instead of throwable strategems. Continuing with the theme something like a new SMG/carbine or a long-range sniper rifle as the primary weapon.
I'm not sure about the booster and armour perk because anything that passively improves strategems will be too powerful.

Wearing the Control Group armor is both a new kino idea, but also fucks me over at times

Dominator might be outclassed by other weapons, but it feels like a chunky slug-throwing rifle.

Speaking of heavy armor, I really don't like the fact that two of the statistically best heavy sets are store purchases. Those being Fortified Commando (fatty) and Grand Juror (Dredd).

The recent Impaler increase really kicked our asses because "oh just use EATs that'll do it"

But it is a challenging yet fun kind of case.

Now that I think about it some more, an ungainly light pen might be useful if it had an absolutely ludicrously deep supply of ammo. Basically the primary stalwart that people have been saying should have been in the game from the start. If they did something like increase the magazine size of the variable by 100%, then it might be serviceable as a bullet storm weapon and the total mode would actually have some useful breakpoints instead of being a fucking meme.

But instead of being a light machine-gun analog, it is analogous to other assault rifles. So you're better off just running something like a tenderizer and popping heads. Dumb nigger Alexus thinking that "primary" weapons should be weak since we always have them, instead of thinking that they should be our PRIMARY bread and butter source of damage.
