Because I like leeches and leech/hollow hound/breach are pretty good vs turbo aggro during the climb and they activate my neurons.
I did also play a similar list to the one you posted with CNE as a top game instead of Frost Strike and ETC with some tech cards (silence for shit like velen, plate breaker, KJ, etc..., really have fun there desu) but you can always take the L when you get matched vs the meme 1% of ladder in all honesty, I just like pretending I got a chance.
Generally even DK is just smashing two packages and filling in the blanks, the packages are plagues (Helya+down vs combo/reno/mage/turbo draw your entire deck that is so fucking common now with disco), and even removal/board (Glenn, plague strike, dreadhound, panner(should be undead, btw) let you fight for the board super well in the hyper aggro format), then some top end/ways to avoid burn out.

Based on what we know, card designers only job in Blizzard is to make interesting cards to play. They are not concerned with balance. There is a separate team that weighs in on balance of cards. But this team has now been cut or left crippled by the lack of staff and play testers. So it's now all ideas people running the show.
