FYI charged attacks on weapons like the Railgun and Epoch are affected by frame stability. If your frames drop, it increases the speed of the charge in some weird, fucked up spaghetti code relation to game speed. This means the Epoch can "randomly" end up killing you with its tiny window if a lot of shit explodes at once and your frames drop from it, skipping the charge meter forward faster than you expect. The Railgun has a much larger charge window so it's less noticeable.

I have to disagree, the Warp Pack is one of the best items in the game because what it does is universally good across every faction and every terrain type.

>With proper usage, it makes you immune to fall damage
>Has a brief 200ms window of invulnerability, no other item in the game makes you outright unkillable, they only negate damage up to a threshold. Already seen people juke the damage from 500kgs and Hellbombs by timing this right
>Cuts corners and instantly traverses you through thin walls, meaning far more effective use of cover, LOS breaking and negating enemy aggro
>The ability to instantly get behind enemies and run in the opposite direction neuters Hulks and Chargers without the item itself even needing to do damage to them, it just makes them a joke for any other weapon you have
>Power multiplier for weapons like the Flamethrower that want to kite endlessly, makes the weapon far more usable against the likes of the Predator Strain because you can just keep backing up faster than they chase
>Doesn't interrupt weapon charging, making it a fantastic combo piece with the Quasar
>Not something that needs to be pointed out, but it's the only way a solo/lone player can access bunkers

Even back in the day, the sole reason that anyone ever got the warbond was because of the Stun Grenade (though the Punisher Plasma also saw use due to the Purifier being a literally incomplete beta test weapon). There was no reason to use the Arc resist armors because literally the only sources of Arc damage were players, and all of the Arc stratagems and weapons were dogshit so nobody ever used them anyway. The Sickle's still a pretty good gun on ice planets, 87 round "magazine" is very strong but its bullet hose nature makes it only really handy against bugs and squids. Nowadays, Arc resist armor is still tenuous at best because nobody ever uses the new Arc gear from Force of Law or Control Group, and Acclimated armor gives you all the Arc resist you could practically need (on top of Fire resist and Gas resist and Acid resist). Stun Grenade is worthless now because heavies can actually be killed by AT weapons so the Stun + OPS combo is obsolete (on top of direct hits from OPS being necessary to kill now instead of just being inside the inner radius).

It's still really good, the problem is just that the armor perk needs to be fixed. The Deadeye is the strongest marksman rifle in the game by far, for a while it was literally one of the most-picked weapons in the whole game. The Talon is still very strong, it's like the pre-buff Senator but with infinite ammo. And while the Hover Pack never did gain a lot of traction to begin with it's still great in colonies where you can hover up to the top of buildings for prime sniper vantage points. The Dynamite also has decent potential, it just needs some fine tuning, particularly to the fuse options.

I would still pick both of these warbonds over Master of Ceremony, Force of Law and Viper Commandos.

It's decent-ish even when considering the spread, its other problems are not really due to its damage output. For instance, assuming that the numbers on the wiki are right, a charged shot deals around 1200 AP5 durable damage, which is more than twice what the Railgun is capable of. Of course most of that is explosive damage, which makes weakpoint targeting worse if the target is fully explosive resistant, but it's still impressive damage. The real problem is that it's stupidly ammo hungry and the explosion doesn't feel like it has any reasonable amount of splash. For a backpack-less support weapon with a stationary reload, it feels really bad to have to reload the thing every three shots.

The closest comparison I could make is that it's like using the HMG before it got all of its massive buffs. It's serviceable as a support weapon, but it feels like shit and most other support weapons beat it outside of its super narrow niche. I can't help but like it and want to find a use for it despite knowing that it's a piece of shit, because there are a few times when it isn't completely worthless.

fire (actually just DoT damage in general) does work if you are the client. Sometimes. It will work when there aren't very many entities active, but if there are a lot, like say in the middle of a bug breach, it stops working. Likely because when they fixed the multiplicative status effect bug they did so by disabling client calculations and now when there are too many entities the back end can't host only calculations keep up so it stops working.
Webm related: two clips from the same mission with all the same players. the pouncers as part of a patrol without a breach going on die to gas DoT, but the ones that came out of the middle of a bug breach later on are seemingly immune to Gas DoT.

The splash on the APHET is perfectly fine for its role, which is to add extra durable damage on top of the main round. If the radius were any larger it would be too strong, that's why Flak mode exists.
The Flak rounds are perfectly strong at any range that isn't point-blank. You can shoot down Shriekers, Gunships, Elevated Overseers, Stingrays, and blast crowds of chaff at close range. It's even excellent for blowing up Warp Ships since two shots will strip the shield and the explosive component on the third shot will kill with a door hit. The only "problem" is if you're trying to burst a faraway target but an enemy that's closer is setting off the proximity fuze, in which case it's a goddamned skill issue.
The recoil is perfectly fine as long as you're not trying to rapid-fire the thing (and why the fuck would you, it's not a magdump weapon, you're supposed to make each shot count, skill issue).
It's an AP4 weapon, of course it's going to suck against AV5 targets. And even then a lot of them have weak spots that you can exploit. Again, skill issue.
