shooting is more PUBG than Fortnite actually, with a surprisingly fast ttk; that's a plus in my book. kinda mid otherwise, gunfeel isn't great and the map is waaaay too open with giant voids between some chunks that can be traversed with vehicles or otherwise through teleporters on the map that are easy to camp. character abilities seem to range very widely from "practically useless" to "this wins the fight"

I still bought Hatsune Miku and I log in when cousins want to play but every time I play a BR I can't stop thinking "I wish I was playing something else right now", I prefer the map knowledge corner clearing wallbang lineup autism, if I die to a sniper I simply get to smoke that spot next round, I jigglepeek, flashbang or something, not "die and go back to the lobby", I like to develop strategies, "if they do this I'm gonna do this and then that and if it doesn't work I'll try to adapt next round"

I know it's about "you only have one chance" but I would rather play an extraction shooter where my dead actually means something, looting gives me a sense of progression since the game lets me keep my inventory and sometimes I can talk my way out a fight using proximity chat (having fun with Ark Raiders lately), If I want to walk around giant empty (and shitty) map I would rather play battlefield or any battlefield clone, I simply don't like the BR gameplay.

the PUBG-ness extends to the map design and combat pacing, there is a LOT of downtime between fights because the map is very big with lots of open areas. it's a surprisingly boomer approach to battle royale design that i do kind of expect to be people's main critique, because nobody but dads plays PUBG for a reason

Stop playing at retarded hours. This is only an issue during early morning hours on week days. I literally tie demolition games more often than in any other season so far, so the changes have actually helped in my experience.

Now the first round of each half of demolition doesn't end in 10 seconds because all characters have armor. TTK is ever so slightly higher now compared to earlier seasons because the combined HP + Armor pool of characters is higher. Reiichi got nerfed. Ming got nerfed with the HP changes. Mara got nerfed so hard that she hardly shows up in both Ranked and Challenge.

Strinova is in a significant healthier place when it comes to balance compared to S1-S2.
