the total rampages you have to complete for the entire game is 2, and you actually don’t even need to finish them. You can do the sub mission and return. The zorah magdoros quests in world take three times longer and are required completions. Same with basically every siege in monhun. Rampages are a godsend compared to that garbage. Besides that sunbreak is p fun. If it had a good sos search feature it’d be the GOAT

The core of gittin gud at monhun is unironically aiming in the right direction at the right time. It's the only reason these games have ever had any sense of difficulty because otherwise timing is fairly easy as long as you're patient and positioning is trial and error. It's the aiming that you're getting better at because proper aiming is the difference between hitting the head or hitting the leg and that affects damage, breaks, flinches, hunt times, etc. So reducing aiming down to "hold stick in this direction on reaction" shrinks the skill gap of these games which means there's less depth to the game overall and people will probably get bored faster

Focus Mode is perfectly fine. The real issue, aside from performance issues, is Wounds. However - given the new monsters seem to have wounds appear on them a lot less, I can see this being a lot less of an issue in higher difficulty. Tempered Gore alone already filtered a good portion of anons, most times I enter a tempered gore, someone carts or half the room are constantly chugging pots

If you rush through Sunbreak's main quests and go straight to endgame, you can grind for investigations that put you in arenas so that you don't have to waste your time zipping around the maps and dealing with the game's dogshit map design. In addition, having investigations in the arenas also means that you don't have to waste 30 seconds for every hunt just gathering little bingshit birds, because the arenas all guarantee a rainbow bingshit bird at the start that maxes out your health and stamina.
