Last thread managed to get me interested in building a ninja. You guys had a debate about the methods the class can use to survive and avoid taking damage, but what is the damaging skill they use? Kunai throw like it was in v3 or is there another option that is enabled by the server? Also, how weak is magic ninja in comparison? Someone was asking for gunslinger tips in the last thread. This is my typical setup for general play (it's the archer/gs combo). I haven't used rifles since the Rock Ridge update because they're mostly underwhelming. That's not to say that they're bad, it just seems like other guns can do everything that they can but better.

My advice: For revolver go with Altair & Ares combo'd with the regular/elite buffalo bandit cards, or Heaven & Hell with size card for desperado. For shotgun a Peacekeeper with an AK card can do some massive DPS with bragi. Gatling is Tempest, you can either hope to get a slotted one from Kimi or just buy the unslotted one from rock ridge. And finally for rifle a color scope with 2 AK cards would be your best bet if you really want to use one. I haven't touched grenade launchers so I can't really advise you on that.
In most builds you want to use the archer/GS card set, but on desperado you're better off flee-maxing while using a sprint set. Hope this helps.

You're gonna be resetting frequently so make sure you have anopheles.

At the very start you're just a shitty bolter with lv1 ice spike until you can get to kunai
Kunai carries you until you're high enough to get 99 dex and a respectable amount of INT, then you can shift back into caster. Instacast on Ninja is silly because ice spike and flaming petals have no aftercast delay so they're highly spammable.
You'll need SP cost reduction gear or you wont even be able to last half an MVP's health bar, or keep a pocket dancer on you for SP song. This season is stupidly easy to hit 150 dex with all the gear enchants.

Then once you're absolutely stacked on gear you can shift back into shuriken and start doing damage to beelz (I still only have 186 aspd, shit gear, and earth element ice pick, wtb mao guai slotted ghost pick)

You can probably ignore a good chunk of that guys advice. Get the shinobi rune asap and unironically use shurikens against any mvp in the game you desire. The biggest reason it's better than kunai is because the shinobi card on ccro comes with a command that lets you chain shurikens at the same rate as if you were manually clicking it quickly.

Magic is good against most things, shuriken is specifically notable because of its 100% accuracy, the autoshuriken spamming as fast as your ASPD is, and taking weapon element/modifiers (but you can't boost it with % cards). As someone who is still a RO novice on Ragnav, what would be the best classes for trying to solo weak MVPs and other mobs that summon adds?
On weak targets, melee with high flee and keeping a distance with Hunter/Mage has been working out, but I bet I'd be eaten alive by anything that is surrounded by adds or has strong magic/ranged attacks.

In renewall typically all maps around you are near your level but with a different flavor so sometimes you move away from the partying scene and go to the map next door and you realize that it works just fine.
So sometimes you pick maps that drop crafting items so you can make money while you level up, or you pick a slightly easier or more crowded map depending on how geared you are.

You're not incentivized to explore anything if some mobs just have a hardcoded double exp and everything else ends up being shit by comparison. You explore and you realize that your exploration was a waste of time.
