The Next Halo game might be as such, a Horror Game. From what one of the recent Halo Books read, Halo is borrowing some stuff from Dead Space, from the Hallucinations and Such. The next Halo game should be another spin off where a Team of Spartans and Covenant go around old Forerunner research facilities that still have Flood in them to plant modified nukes in them to destroy them. You blow up multiple facilities each with a worsening level of infection, and you play levels not just as Spartans and elites, but as hunters, jackals and grunts.

Everybody just started with DMRs, multiplayer was undiluted sewage because of it. The visuals also fucking sucked, it took MCC coming to PC for that to be fixed. All the levels and maps were designed with sprint in mind, so if you didn't have it, you were fucked because it takes minutes to get anywhere.

Reach was ass, and Bungie was clearly just phoning it in at that point. They were done with the series after 3, ODST was the last game they put any elbow grease into. I'll grant you that the story and armour customisation was pretty good.

The thing that annoys me most about Halo 2's campaign isn't how quickly you can die, but how you can hardly ever interrupt the enemy's firing pattern. In CE, you could make enemies flinch pretty easily, and breaking an Elite's shield stopped him completely for a couple seconds. But in Halo 2, even if you EMP one, he'll just keep firing with perfect accuracy and tracking.

It's not even about the animations, it's the stupid model. There is no weird spiky gigantic bullshit on the Shock Rifle, but they inexplicably made the barrel of their "Vestige" Carbine a giant fuckin spike thing for no good reason.
