By the time the Eden characters were being designed the villain GV plot was already scrapped.
In the early plots he was also with Sumeragi and Eden was instead an alliance of foreign countries invading Japan, so they probably wouldn't have been aligned anyway.

That was the intial GV1 ending draft. The barrier protecting Japan goes down and a seven nation alliance named GHQ launches a missile attack.
The invasion concept was steadily reworked into Eden but you can see the original plot influence on the early design drafts with all the military uniforms. This was also the basis for the G7 group name and them being named after missiles.

The final conceptualization of them, as a bunch of superpowered traumatized orphans pursuing an impossible fantasy (hence the fairy tale motifs), was more interesting than the beta versions. The only downside is that they're such fun and lovable personalities in the side-stories that you can't help but feel down for them. It's like if Trigger were to kill the Bonnes.

It's not like he's digging around the garbage dump for parts. The Kamizono family is massively influential and wealthy, and that's on top of having access to Nori's seemingly endless resources.
Copen also inherited his father's research notes/journals, and jolly ol' Dr. K was the top researcher spearheading the study on the Adept phenomena. You can reasonably conclude that, on top of being a naturally gifted 3smart5u, Copen based most of his equipment on his late father's research and improved on it when needed, from Greedsnatcher to Lola.

We don't ever see the crashout that caused Copen to change his stance on adepts. iX is adamant on adepts being humans, even expressing sympathy for Gunvolt and Joule. My headcanon would be a forced team-up with Eden after Asimov killed Nori and kidnapped Mytyl, leading to an arc of Copen and some of the Eden members getting deradicalized from shared experiences. Maybe he even develops feelings for one of them, but he never acts on it despite the other party being interested. Then Eden dies, leaving Copen alone again.

If GV2 had continued chonologically we'd be looking at a Copen at his lowest point in his life, literally left with nothing, and if he ever stood before Mytyl they could really highlight the futility of this "Blood for Blood" mentality that otherwise fuels him. What's more important to him; His vengeance, or his sister? That Mytyl is - according to his flawed logic - partly to blame just for being an adept, but then also knowing it's not her fault.

It's no plot, you play as Acura hunting down adepts like it's Metroid 2. You have to kill the listed amount to proceed, and you can blatantly see they're just human and the pain you cause but he goes on and on about how he's cleansing the world.
Hallway through someone's parent, understandably upset that you murdered their child, has Acura on the ropes but GV saves him by killing them. This starts the route split where you can fight as Acura and chase off GV and keep doing your senseless violence ending in an "objective: survive" mission where you try to take out as many adepts as you can, or GV's route where you end up frying an adept soup kitchen because one of the workers there had to peel off the crispy remains of their loved one GV murdered when he met Ouka, ending with him executing Kaoruko because she led the organization.

No, it makes sense. Image pulses are what separates Octima from Septima, and Gunvolt, Demerzel, and Zonda all have it (image pulse = reverie mirror). Image pulse is basically the adept replacing reality with their own it with their own. Hence, GV and Zonda can summon the dead, temporarily. A fully unlocked Octima would probably be capable of making the changes permanent. Zonda is definitely one of the most mysterious characters in GV. As Tenjian tells it, baby Zonda appeared in the orphanage one day, seemingly out of nowhere. Nobody saw her get dropped off, nobody saw her enter. And she doesn't have Chinese features, so she's clearly not a local. Only Tsuda would know, and he's not sharing.

It seems like Zonda has the best image pulses, as the people she brings back are the most like their old selves. You can converse with them, they can learn new things, they're independent, they're basically like actual people. Furthermore, they have all their powers and stick around. Demerzel's image pulses also seem to be permanent and have their full capabilities, but have lost all free will. They're just puppets. Maybe it's a reflection of the adept themself? Zonda values freedom and love, Demerzel wants to enslave and is driven by hatred. GV's image pulses fall in-between.
