Shoulders definitely stand out too much, bone detail doesn't appear on the rest of the body too much and makes contour look silly. Color pallet has potential, push the contrast a bit more for some colors, probably yellow or red and contrast to everything else. Reminds me of autumn, like yellow and red fallen leaves mixed with dirt and puddles, seems thematically appropriate to scourge. Rotate character in 3/4 for depth, will make it read better on screenshots.

I've tried Harbinger recently, it seemed weird at first because main mechanic is reducing max HP for increased dmg, but overall it turned out pretty straightforward. Probably feels squishy compared to regular unkillable Necro, but I came from sub 16k health classes, so it wasn't that weird to play, ymmv. Mobile, simple-ish rotations, a lot of easy access buffs and good dmg. Try it for sure, there is plenty of time and you'll get all skill points anyway.

I told you like 20 times last night: Stop mass-identifying the unids, open the bags first. If you really want to identify+salvage the unids instead of just selling them, here's what you do:

For DPS, you can get by being passive or not using commands to move it around.
For Support, its annoying as fuck because boons are applied around the golem. So when it fucks off to neverland and you use f2 and watch it spin and give buffs to nobody, you die a little inside. So you'd have to make sure to command it to follow you or attack what the group is attacking to make sure boons are correctly applied.

Each one gives 25% completion of hearts in Janthir Syntri or Lowland Shore (JW maps).

D/D Elemental bastion is fucking disgusting ever since they gave it alacrity for pve. Not only can i squirt out 30s alacrity sitting on only water attunement, but in group events i'm aura comboing through other peoples combo fields, practically ensuring im maintaining alac for the entire squad by myself.
The alacrity output is too damn high.

Seconding anons suggestion to get the complete edition with the living world stuff, it'll save you money and frustration later. If you can tolerate waiting a few weeks there will probably be a sale for the game's anniversary, the complete pack goes for $50.
And also like other anon said that does unlock all the classes and specs, but the other 2 (now 3) expansions come with their own stuff too. The weapon combos and stuff opened by SotO and JW do tend to be really strong but there's a lot of options without them if you don't want to buy those yet.
There's a lot to invest in up front with GW2 but I think it's all worth the price they're asking for it. And I'll be honest some of the gem store stuff is so nice it almost feels required in the long run so I'd even consider grabbing the ultimate editions of Janthir Wilds or Visions of Eternity if/when you look at buying those.. for $50 over the base expansion you get $50 of gems + infinite gathering tools worth like $30 of gems on their own (+ character slot).

Nah, templates and skill templates are the most confusing part of the interface. I've carried my celestials from 80 boosts for a while. Considering how stingy game seems to be about inventory space at first, it's reasonable to assume you need to have to carry equipment in bags. Name being "Template" and not "Set" or something doesn't help.
Just in case, you can also Right Click on your Weapon Swap button to the left of healthbar and quickly swap between templates. All the other buttons there can be right clicked too. You can even dodge by clicking on stamina bar.

To be fair, the steal mechanic in general only exists for flavor across the entire profession. It is literally a "hit button to free skill" with a bunch of traits that make the tooltip look atrocious with a grocery list of effects. The profession hardly steals enough for anyone to notice or care. Like, boon steal is limited to larcenous strike and boon rip with bountiful theft. Life siphon is Mug (fake) and cloacked in shadow. Necro does a far better job of depriving people of anything with near constant life siphon and boon corrupt. Thief is actually Rogue, but anet wanted to avoid falling into that trope and thus was the profession named thief.

As a pure DPS you need ~29k to clear Cerus LCM without getting carried. That's on the fight though not on the golem, realistically you'd need to hit over 40k on the golem. Same for Embodiment of Sin. Ura LCM may be harder but idk about it.

Those recent engineer changes turned out way better than I expected. Flashbang having a daze on it means you can reveal people for over 10 seconds with the tools trait line. The bomb kit feels great to use too. It almost feels like bad manners to load up a down with bombs. Only problem is the new toolbelt smoke bomb sometimes doesn't activate. If stealth ever becomes too prevalent then make sure to bring your core engi to counter that garbage.

i really like flamethrower on condi now. napalm is a great burst, and while it's not worth camping on harder content, you can on open world and it's fun to just roam around spurting everything with fire

This is such an old-school problem to have with the game. I remember this being one of the negatives people say. Especially coming from other MMO or GW1 where limited kit that is gradually unlocking is the default. The truth is, ever since Hearth of thorns GW2 solidified as an action game and introduction of elite specs creates a great variety. There are still one button builds, but there are also all the butts all the time builds. You'll have more than enough things to do and press at max lvl content, trying to execute your rotation while doing mechanics and dodging, combofields, using support skill in best moments etc. You really don't need to have more of them for the sake of variety or something.

This has got to be the dumbest excuse to hate the game ever, especially if you haven't unlocked and tried any elite specs. The game is certainly hard to get in to. I tried at least 4 or 5 times before I stuck with it. The biggest problem is that the base game is insanely boring. They should really just get rid of leveling altogether and replace it with more base game mastery points that unlock all of the perks you'd normally get while leveling. Oh yeah, I already feel that there is no point in playing the class other than the challenge. However, you can't change base professions. Your engineer cannot change to warrior or elementalist, it will always be an engineer. If you want to play a different profession, you need to create a new character.

Tyria is itself a part of the Mists the same way as The Underworld (Grenth's domain) or The Realm of Torment (prison realm crafted by the Gods) are part of the Mists. The Mist are building blocks of reality. Everything that exists is born out of the Mists.
The center of the Mists is the RIft. This is the place that is conceivably "outside of reality". Perhaps think of the Rift as the axle of a wheel and the Mists the spokes. You have to travel through the Rift (the axle) to get to another reality of the Mists (another one of the spokes).
That there are Asuran portals in Lion's Arch that go to "the Mists" is an absurdity. Humanity was shepherded by the Gods to Tyria from their former home because the Gods are exceptionally powerful beings able to cross the Rift. Only ONE (1) human has ever done such a thing as breaking into the Rift itself, and he paid for his trespasses with his life.

When creatures die, those who have performed legendary deeds have their souls preserved in the Rift. The average person dies and his/her soul remains with his/her corpse. This, of course, is without respect to souls who are taken elsewhere by those who have the means. In the past, the Gods would just toss humans souls back into their bodies all the time. The Gods sent the evil and corrupted into the Realm of Torment. Balthazar took his Eternals into the Fissure of Woe (his realm), etc.
The lore as it was established, if SOMEHOW someone was able to communicate with spirits in the Rift from the mortal plane of Tyria, it would make sense to speak with Ventari, Archemorous, or Glint, as presumably their spirits have been enshrined in the Rift.

It doesn't. The writers can make up anything they want. If tomorrow they said "Tyria is now called poopyshitpants and Mad King Thorn's real name is Donald Trump, then that is par for the course.

The way I see it

Does either GW1 or GW2 ever explain why the Titans, The Lich/Khilbron, and by extension Abaddon, give a rats ass about the Mursaat?
Like, the Mursaat were keeping the Titans from escaping the Door of Komalie, because they knew about the prophecy that the Titans would destroy them, but there's no actual given reason *why* the Titans/Khilbron/Abaddon would care about the Mursaat at all, beyond just being another incidental faction that would be wiped out anyways in the Nightfall.

What led them down this path of complete incompetency after 100s of hours to get the number?
I know for a fact that to get those last mastery points in most expansions you need to get that Gleam of Sentience irl at least for a second.

Did they change unlock requirements for mounts that you just get them now? I thought I'd have to earn them but the game just gave me a raptor for getting level 10

Anet cancelled GW:Utopia the moment they decided to make GW2 and used those assets to make GW:EotN (an "expansion" whereas all the other games were true campaigns).
It's not a coincidence that you start EotN and they go "you've never seen or heard anything at all about Norn, Asura, etc. but there they are a now!!!! and also look at these cool Elder Dragons that were never mentioned befere!!!"

The Mursaat don't care as much about the titans as they do the Chosen, who are prophecied to genocide them. That's why their #1 priority is finding and eliminating the Chosen. The Mursaat are mostly dead by the time the titans are released by the Flameseeker.

The titans were used by Abaddon to effect his will outside his prison walls. The titans were used by Khilbron to empower himself as his personal nigh-unstoppable army.
The titans didn't care about anything at all. They're just twisted, tortured souls who ramble in broken pseudo-latin. There's nothing more to them.

The hardest thing you're actually required to do to hit 633 is that time IBS tricks you into doing a Strike mission.
