>New to the Musou-verse?
The musou genre is expansive so this is a quick terms rundown, but see the newcomer pastebin for more information.
>Dynasty Warriors - the original, mainline series based on the Romance of the Three Kingdoms novel
>XL / Xtreme Legends - essentially expansions for DW games
>Empires - a light strategy DW spin-off, you conquer & manage territory instead of following a story
>Samurai Warriors - DW, but based on Japan's history
>Warriors Orochi - Crossover between DW & SW
>Romance of the Three Kingdoms - an epic novel, telling a romanticized version of historical events
>There's multiple other IP spin-offs with Musou gameplay, including One Piece and Zelda.

given some of the weapons character use I wouldn't worry about historical accuracy so much. Though you could give her some variation of SSX's moves. Perhaps a larger single hoop. That would be a nice way to connect the two. Maybe adjust and fine tune Lian Shi's old crossbow.

I think it's amazing and it's probably my favourite Warriors title right now. It's just fun to play, and it constantly gets updates. Just know the costume DLCs are a ripoff and only buy them or the higher tier version if you feel like supporting the devs for the updates, they're overpriced and often not even good

I'm currently about to finish wei true and that is the only ending I've done. Do you think there is any chance I make it? The trial ends in 64 hours (monday 10est I'm pretty sure). I keep going through it and I'm just like oh yeah you have to do all of this... then all of this... Part of me thinks I can get it done in 40 hours total (this is about the max time I expect to be able to put into the trial, i'll no life harder if it looks like I can accomplish it) but i don't have much confidence I will be able to complete this task.

Age of Calamity was already like that, a "canon" prequel to BotW (technically in a separate timeline because of time travel bullshit).
I've said my piece already but I far prefer the original Hyrule Warriors for having characters from across the whole series instead of just the new hotness. It's also just a better game, especially on Switch where it runs better and AoC runs like shit.

The presentation is what annoyed me too. 3 had many mocapped in-engine cutscenes while 4 has 0. This resulted any costumes you bought even more worthless since they won't show up in any cutscene because they're pre-rendered.

That's bad too, but it just feels a bit too menu focused. 3 had a huge map were you could do things out of order, you could get snippets of dialogue from people in your base even watching the base evolve over time was something. It's not like 3 was hugely indepth about that but just having my main three stand shoulder to shoulder as I futz about menus just doesn't strike as immersive.

Hyrule Warriors Definitive Edition bugged me for the same reason. It's an HD port of the 3DS version first and foremost, and for the 3DS to save on resources they rendered a lot of cutscenes from in-engine to pre-rendered. But they never undid that for Switch, so the only game you can wear your costumes into cutscenes is the Wii U version.

I didn't realize we had a thread up for multiple days now. I only went to /vg/ because I assumed someone would open up a thread in response to the 25th anniversary video, but I guess the thread has been up a few days prior to that.
Anyway, while I'm glad DWO is getting a "major DLC", it really sucks that it's probably so early in development that they were only able to give us an announcement that a major DLC was underway.
And, strikingly, the fact that it's just a "major DLC" and not an "Xtreme Legends" or "expansion game" means that it's not going to be as big as it should be, given that the fans overwhelmingly want an Xtreme Legends style expansion that gives us fully playable officer characters that we can play without having them as support characters to Ziluan.
I really don't understand why Koei Tecmo isn't striking while the iron is hot. They should have announced this DLC like 3-4 months ago. The game came out in January. It sold a million copies after a few months. They should have announced the DLC back then.
Once again, the biggest impediment to Omega Force is Koei Tecmo being a stingy publisher that probably pays its subsidiaries peanuts.

In Abyss, why is Ranmaru Mori the only character to only get a boost after summoning a single other hero unit, namely Oda Nobunaga? Even waifus whose only achievement was being married to X chieftain, like Diao Chan, get boosts from the entire faction, not only a single unit. What, was he closer to Nobunaga than Lady No, his wife? Why doesn't he get a Mori emblem anyway? It's useless, but he has only 2, he could get 1 more.

You know, Capcom could have made the Sengoku Basara fanbase happy with a PS5 patch that enhances Sengoku Basara 4 Sumeragi's performance.
Because right now, the story scenes and the pre-mission dialogue sequences in the game still run at 30fps. On RPCS3, you can unlock the framerate so that these things run at 60fps, but on consoles, that's not doable.
Even if you're playing on PS5, these things still run at only 30fps. A framerate unlock patch could easily have the game running at 60fps for all things in it. Hell, I'm sure even a console as trash as the PS5 can get the game to run at 120fps, if only Capcom cared enough to update the game to have it run that well.
But nope.
The franchise turned 20 years old just 2 weeks ago, and what did Capcom do for it? Worse than nothing. It announced a bunch of cafe merchandise collab bullshit. So basically Capcom still remembers that Sengoku Basara exists, but it can't be bothered to give its real fans even breadcrumbs.

It might need slower/heavier gameplay though, I'm not sure if the origins style anime demi-god gameplay would fit the western setting. But then, LoTR wouldn't feel right either with the origins gameplay, so maybe a western musou that alters the gameplay would be a good starting point for a future LoTR spin-off.

I'm assuming they're talking about the leech enemies everyone just bitched about during the alpha period.
It's sad that they've very likely nerfed these enemies. I found them tough, but that was just my inexperience with the enemies (having only really had enough time to play the alpha demo for about 7-8 hours).
Every enemy I've found tough in Nioh 1 and 2 (like Namahages, Ongyoki, Fukis or even the basic Tengu Ravens, which was an enemy type that kicked my ass on my first playthrough of Nioh 1) I've ended up learning to master over time. I had no doubt I would have done the same with the leech in Nioh 3 and other enemies that casuals consider "overwhelmingly difficult", given enough time to actually lab these enemies and learn counterplay.
But alas, once again, Team Ninja folds into the whiny, scrubby majority. These games give you so many tools to destroy enemies. No nerf of enemy difficulty was ever justified in any of these games.

Would be cool to see more bodyguard customization, like letting us select their weapon type, outfits, stance etc. In the early games your bodyguards felt like real bro's who could become slaughter machines, in origins they're just kinda "there" outside of their skills.

Also a NG+ style option were we can keep our gear/skills while reseting our stats would be neat, since the game becomes easy even on UW

It doesn't need a new difficulty imo, but UW should be reworked.
>let officers (on both sides) parry
>officers should be less spongey as it's just annoying on later stages while not really increasing difficulty
>buff normal troops health & damage output (both sides) so they're actually a threat

I think this would make UW more enjoyable - more mechanically challenging officers but less spongey, while buffing all the normal troops so they don't fall so easily.

Bet they could create this without much trouble and it would add loads of replay value coming up with your own scenarios. All they'd have to do is enable the empires style AI so officers/troops move toward bases/enemies (since main game officer movements are all pre-planned), and that's probably already there in the code base.

Like maybe an earlier storyteller meant it straight but Luo Guanzhong reinterpreted it as a giggle when inserting it into his novel compilation, or even vice versa, and then there's the whole question if it even matters how a storyteller "meant" something if the vast majority of readership have been looking at it a different way for 500 years.

the DLC announcement gave a nice little boost for a few days and got reported on some mainstream sites etc... but imagine if they hadn't completely forgot about origins post-launch and did more than a photo-mode nobody cares about. Even if they've actually been secretly working on the DLC all this time, they could've kept Origins in players mind more with just a few updates here and there for basic QoL stuff, like being able to buy more than a few items at a time, a better free mode menu etc.

It's like they put it out, sold over a million and instantly moved on to Abyss like it never happened.

Pirate Warriors 3 is more fun as a game, and it makes you feel like you're getting your money's worth for it.

Pirate Warriors 4 is a: don't feel bad if you buy it on sale and you don't like it.

As for "essential DLC," if you don't care about One Piece, then don't bother.
'Cause you'll probably won't care enough to 100% the save file.
And the rewards of the DLC missions are useful for endgame. For the most part you don't need them in the base game.
And once you go from the level cap of 18 in the base game, to the new level cap of lvl 30, the base game because TOO easy.

Some DLC characters are stronger than normal. Like the Legend Dawn pack (2 chars at least: Roger, Garp).
But packs are always a scam, they either have 1 character that's worth it and 2 that suck.
Or 2 that are good, and one that sucks. But never 3 good or interesting characters in a pack.

I hate that they're treating a musou game as a fighting game. Releasing season passes.
That's what ruined fighting games. The most fun musou games have relatively large to large rosters.
That allows for personal expression through game-play.

I already sank around 25 hours in it and already got 36/40 achievements (most of them are stupidly easy). Gameplay wise PW3 is much better but sadly it has such a broken steam port that koei will never ever fix (it crashes all the time even after you already lower your resolution, use your integrated chip as opposed to your gaming gpu because the steam info literally tells you that a better PC will make the game prone to crashes), the movement feels float-y, the damage you receive is barely felt, you can button mashing all you want but then you'll get shocked that your HP is already depleted because you dont feel being beaten that much. It doesn't challenge you with some difficult missions in PW3 where you complete the puzzle for each stage, it pretty much just tells you to beat the enemy in your path.

When do we think the origins DLC will drop? I hope later this year, but expect it to come early next year on the anniversary.

The fact they called it "major" gives me hope. Maybe the reason Origins didn't have much in terms of post-launch love is because they quickly started on this DLC after the good sales figure? It gives me hope that this will feel like a proper PS2 era XL expansion in terms of content, so not just 1 or 2 hypothetical routes for Lu Bu or Yellow Turbans, but more content across the board. More weapons & skills, more bodyguard tactics, a dedicated free mode, more outfits for ziluan (and maybe your bodyguards?) etc. It would make origins feel like a really good, complete experience that would pave the way for Origins Part 2.

I think it's wholly dependent on making the battlefield simulation a primary focus, which 9 did the opposite of and practically axed completely. If armies don't move around the map or their movements have no meaning to the player, then all you're left with is the standard musou formula but it's missing a critical component and takes longer to get to the actual gameplay.

I like 8 but mostly just for raiding and running around with 1 wife and 2 sworn waifu sisters and purposely fucking up the timeline by helping weak nations get strong. I agree sw2 empires is the best one still and I love the mini maps and play those when I play it. dw4 empires was interesting for the first one and while it did have some major flaws it had some fun maps and some of the interactions with officers was interesting. I still remember pang tong getting taunted and going if you think that tactic would work IT ABSOLUTELY DID!(not word for word but close to it) And than we charged the guys forces with his. I still play 4 empires on occasion through ps2 emulation and it's oddly fun even with its flaws and lack of later features in games. But to be fair I still play dw3xl and wish dw3 empires existed as I think some of that games maps were really good.

Missed the dw6 comment or I would have put it in my recent reply. I like dw6 even though I only have access to the ps2 version which compared to other versions is bad. Even so I like the maps and the battles are fairly fun and I ike some of the characters designs.

Its similar to how I got dw7de on steam for $7 bucks a week ago (used to own it) and ive been playing it a ton just running some of the early stages over and over to grind out upgrades and boosts on zhu rong and guan yu (decided to NOT start with lu bu like I usually do).

honestly all the games are good in their own ways though I would put dw9 and dw9 empires last or trash and dw9 only gets the massive mmo like world in its favor and some of its side things to do like fish and stuff. but the storyline and battles I didnt enjoy and it felt so lifeless in battle. also bonus cool though to once you beat someones story you could take them into other stories and fuck around.
I wont even waste my time explaining my dw9 empires is trash

>First weapon is always locked to the character's preferred weapon
>Second weapon can be of any other type
>However, different weapon types are more/less effective against different types of enemies
So you had to pick a second weapon that had some synergy with your first/default weapon, to ensure you had coverage across all enemy types. Or just pick Zhao Yun and steamroll everything with his aerial normal combo, because his spear was generally good against everything, and his stats were absolutely jacked compared to the test of the cast, even Lu Bu.

Power makes you paranoid. And also one possibly underappreciated thing is that people grow apart and distrustful, especially when separated from one another for a long time.

This probably doesn't really "get across" to most people, what with TV shows and video games wanting to show all the major characters together in the same room, but in actuality most of these people were pretty far away from each other for most of their lives. Yeah, Sun Quan would grow up spending a lot of time with trusted advisors and military commanders and becoming personal friends with them, but then he'd have to post them in other cities and stuff, where they'd end up spending 20+ years only communicating by letter and sometimes never seeing each other again. It's easy to condemn Sun Quan for being a suspicious fuck for imprisoning his own sons and even killing one of them, but those sons were in an entirely different city and he hadn't seen them for nearly 20 years. Also more understandable that he'd get really attached to the one son he still had at his side and want to enthrone that kid as heir at the last minute even if the kid was only 7 years old.

Sishui is probably the second or third worst stage in the game when it comes to babysitting allies (outright worst is Runan). Generally if you defeat enemy officers efficiently, you don't have to babysit too much. At most you just jump on a horse, ride over and hi five whoever is struggling to heal them, then return to whatever you were doing before.

Parries are good for stopping enemy attacks early so you can begin your counter attack, but the risk is too high if you mess up the timing. It doesn't help that many enemies abuse their super armour and hold attacks for a really long time to trick you into dodging/parrying too early. But with Lu Bu dead, you won't have to fight him (or anyone with his moveset) ever again until NG+, at which point you can bullshit him back with your own halberd.

dw8:xl / dw8:empires and its weapons are silly. I spend alot of time goofing off in dw8:empires with guan yu and using zuo ci's cards. 4+ compatibilty with guan yu so I turned him into the god of magic and go around fucking everyone up. another goofy one is lu bu is 4+ compatible with guo huai's gun weapon so lu bu just decimates anything he faces with that thing. there's some goofy weapons and some people have compatibility with weapons that change them drastically in some ways. I like the goofy stuff and want more things like it but optional settings to play with for it.

I guess you can divert to a skirmish or mission in between story/bond events. The plot doesn't massively advance until you do major battles. Also, as a title focused only on one game of the franchise, not having all of the playable characters from Three Houses be playable in Hopes stings a lot.

Also, the side content in FEW is probably my favorite content in Musou games (which is why games that have similiar types of side content like the OG Hyrule Warriors games and the OPPW 3 and 4 games rank highly).

>Also what determines when I lose guards?
When they get killed by enemies. Outside of tactics, they're just regular soldiers, so high courage enemy officers will mow through them if allowed to run amok. Also note that in some situations, you can give orders to soldiers belonging to nearby allied officers even if all your guys are out of action. I never would have thought that I'd end up loving musou games more than character action games, yet here we are.
Trying to replay most character action games is just an exercise in frustration because of how so much of the games contain gimmicky filler that has nothing to do with the main combat loop.
Think Bayonetta with all of the autoscroller sections (motorcycle, fighter jet, etc.).
Think DMC games and all the puzzles and platforming that take up far too much of your time.
Think Astral Chain and all the detective dogshit you have to do (that, for some retarded reason, is also ranked as part of your overall mission score).
Think of all the downtime you have in these games and the backtracking. Probably a third of Devil May Cry 3 is just doing this.
Every single character action game has significant chunks of it that I never want to replay.
Meanwhile, I'm playing Warriors Orochi 3 Ultimate and it's all action. There are no gimmick missions that involve some level design or stage gimmick that has nothing to do with the main combat loop. It has a gimmick mode (card battles), but it's an optional side mode, not part of the main game itself.
Same with Sengoku Basara 4 Sumeragi. It's got all elements of musou games while also having the freeform juggle-heavy stylish combat of the best character action games, minus the downtime and pointless gimmicks in level design (well, except for Kanbei Kuroda's level, which thankfully is mercifully short, and is only 1 level out of the game's 48 levels) .

Anyway, I'm off to sleep. It's been a long day. I hope I get some responses when I wake up, because I feel like discussing this. Ninja Gaiden 4 is coming out later this year, and it looks like it's also been tainted by Platinum Games' love for non-combat gimmicky nonsense, like a painfully long autoscrolling rail-grinding section I saw in the recent gameplay previews that totally is gonna get old on reruns of that mission.

I'm the same way. All the combat action games I tried playing again or going to and very few are what I want just combat punchy punchy action. Lately my thing when i'm not playing and goofing around in rotk13 is playing the dw/sw/gw/wo games. that usually involves the ps2 emulation, my xbox1 for gw3 (gundam warriors 3), I have a bunch of the musou games for pc on steam and I play them all constantly. Last night I was in dw8:empires for hours since I have so many points racked up (that one raid stage gives about 6500 per win) and so I grinded a buttload and now I just turn everything on and tear into stages raiding and beating everyone up. I dont even really try to win the maps per say I just use the games to enjoy the combat and the side stuff going on in them. I don't want puzzles and solving the bio-physics of the geo-neutrons I just want to have combat and action. I can't tell you how much joy i have taking lu bu out and just decimating everything around me or using guan yu with zuo ci's cards (4 star compatible) and going guan wizard on the maps. I even can do dumb shit in empires like revolt against lui bei in the scenario guan yu dies and instead conquer china as the new guan yu faction. Xu shu is a joy to just smash with his club. These games really are the spot hitter for me with action and combat if I dont also add in my ultra modded fallout 3 and fallout 4 to have 10x enemy spawns and the hordes of combat situations that causes all over the world maps. but this is about the musou games not some silly puffed up 10x spawn in fo3/fo4 but is about the only other game I get the action I want in and that needs mods and tons of things.

I hope this gets a conversation going as I find these games are really the only thing that hits my action combat wants unless I go dig around in the 80s/90s/00s and play some of those games that were just action and fun.

I stopped playing Bayonetta 1 halfway through because I was sick of all the gimmicks. Makes me really appreciate musou modes, just stage after stage. Even the games with a bigger focus on story are really good about just letting you play when you get to a stage, the only thing that sticks out in Origins is the Wang Yun escort mission. Seeing the Platinum logo on NG4 was really disappointing, NG2 on the 360 and to a slightly lesser extent 3RE were great at keeping up the core gameplay

WO3 ultimate is kino but it's so easy to break the game after you play a bit, pre-SW4 SW characters had musou that would get uninterrupted as long as your musou bar wasn't empty, so you just equipped skills to your weapons that let you refill the musou bar for everytime you kill like 500 fodders and also you could make it more efficient.
it got so broken you got bored doing it and when you tried to play a different character, you couldn't just move because your character was still busy emptying its musou bar and that could take minutes.

>Equip a different gem
>Get to 99 KOs
>Swap to Wellspring gem
>Get 100th KO and heal

I think you're underestimating Twin Pikes and Crescent Blade.
Shadow Rush is great for closing distance and finishing off that last bar of Fortitude. Sky Sunder is the best Fortitude destroyer if you get the timing right, and still does quite a bit of health and Fortitude damage if you don't. Neutral Strong is great at mincing individual officers, as long as you do a single normal attack or Shadow Rush hit beforehand to stun them while they're vulnerable. Evade Strong is great for farming bravery from peons while remaining mobile.
Crescent Blade would be shit if Divine Energy Domain + charged Evade Strong wasn't so bullshit. Charged Evade Strong with Lv2 charge up has invincibility from the start of the first slash to the end of the fifth slash, and Divine Energy Domain keeps you at Lv2 charge while you're in the circle. That combo gives you easy hits in duels, and easy Bravery in crowds to build up to Great Mountain Throw.
I had more success with Staff than Gauntlets, but I didn't get the Gauntlet combos down so it's very likely a skill issue on my part.

CA games cater to both casual and hardcore crowds (which is fine in and of itself and musou games do this too) but in the worst way possible.
They do it by wasting excessive resources on story and cutscenes, and by doing other things designed to attract casuals/normies that just eat up development resources (like gimmick levels designed purely to make these casuals feel cool without any effort).
Musou games cater to casuals by simply having easy modes and overpowered shit, both of which are things that more hardcore players can just outright ignore.
In WO3U for example, Xu Shu and Xiahou Ba are both insanely broken characters that are incredibly easy to use if you want to trivialize the game. The solution is just to either not use them or gear them in such a way that they aren't utterly broken. This is a simple workaround. There is no simple workaround for the gimmick garbage in CA games like Bayonetta, especially since they make up like a third or a fourth of the entire game.

>I find these games are really the only thing that hits my action combat wants unless I go dig around in the 80s/90s/00s and play some of those games that were just action and fun.
I find that 2D beat-em-ups also satisfy these same cravings. I can and play something older like Double Dragon Advance or something newer like Ninja Saviors or Dragon's Crown or Fight N' Rage, and it's just pure concentrated action. No gimmicky garbage. An hour that you spend playing a BEU (or a musou) is an hour spent actually playing the meat and potatoes of the game.
If you're willing to give them a try, roguelites are also good at pure concentrated gameplay. There aren't any BEU roguelites (as far as I know), but if you want a roguelite with good melee combat, try out Dead Cells. It's so fast paced and just non-stop action.
Lastly, if you want action and are fine with no melee combat, there's always shmups. Those are pure arcadey concentrated action.

Yeah, I can't bring myself to Pure Platinum most of Bayonetta, especially since the gimmick sections (like running away from an enemy for 2 minutes or all the autoscrollers) are ranked. Hideki Kamiya is a genius in many ways, but he's also equally self-indulgent.

>Seeing the Platinum logo on NG4 was really disappointing, NG2 on the 360 and to a slightly lesser extent 3RE were great at keeping up the core gameplay
Watching the recent footage that just popped up in the past 2 weeks has been really disconcerting for me. I have so many nitpicks, I don't even know where to begin.
1. The absolutely terrible visual clarity and color constrasts in so many places.
2. The fact that there are so many empty downtime sections in the level design. Literally the first footage I saw of Ryu was him spending about 2 minutes traversing and platforming empty alleyways and rooftops.
3. The lack of enemy aggression even compared to Normal difficulty in NG2 or NG3RE.
4. The blatantly recycled animations from Platinum Games titles. Seriously, look at Viola's running animations from Bayo 3 and compare it with Ryu's new running animations in NG4. Recycled as fuck.
5. All the painful slow-mos designed to make things feel epic.
6. Ryu's voice direction is dogshit. His screams lack the satisfying guttural feel of older NG games, even though it's the same voice actor.

I have no doubt NG4 is going to be solid, but (and I hate to use this cliche, but it's relevant) I doubt it's going to be a good Ninja Gaiden game.
I am particularly disappointed to read that Ryu Hayabusa's other weapons will be DLC only. The man has an armory of over a dozen fantastic weapons and yet the base game will only give him one. This is literally a worse situation than DMC4 Dante. At least DMC4 Dante got a ton of new weapons.
I'm more excited for Nioh 3 than I am for NG4. Nioh 3's demo was amazing, and most of the changes they've announced the past week in response to feedback have me even more excited.

I agree that WO3U has so much unbalanced and broken stuff.
However, like I wrote earlier to another anon, the unbalanced and broken stuff in WO3U can be worked around. Just to copy and paste the relevant section I wrote earlier, using Xu Shu and Xiahou Ba in that game as examples: Xu Shu and Xiahou Ba are both insanely broken characters that are incredibly easy to use if you want to trivialize the game. The solution is just to either not use them or gear them in such a way that they aren't utterly broken. This is a simple workaround. There is no simple workaround for the gimmick garbage in CA games like Bayonetta, especially since they make up like a third or a fourth of the entire game.

I was still able to clear all the 10-star main story and DLC maps on Chaos difficulty, as well as the hardest gauntlet mode floors with maxed out Miasma levels without ever touching or resorting to any of the usual broken shit in WO3U. The game gives you enough defense mechanics and gearing options that you don't have to use meta optimized strats to clear the hardest content.

Think what I hate from WO3 is I cant keep track of the team combination's achievements. Ive gone through every combinations twice, done the attack, and somehow I still couldn't get it. By this point i'd already wasted 250 hours in the game and i was too tired getting through it all again. That was the only achievement left (aside the plat trophy)

I don't think Koei usually does anything at these, the only reason NG4 is here is because it's published by Xbox. They usually stick to Nintendo and PS directs. Other anons have been saying TGS, that seems a lot more likely, that's when we got a lot of new gameplay of Origins last time.

I've got a pretty long list of complaints too but I ultimately just lost interest, although I'd still appreciate a demo.
>The absolutely terrible visual clarity
This is a serious problem that's been in their games for a while now. The worst case was NG2 Black. They clearly didn't care about that one but the visual clarity was awful, there would be enemies right next to me that I wouldn't notice because they'd blend in with the backdrop. All the visual clarity issues from the original just come from explosions, not poor contrast. That's something I didn't appreciate about older action games until now. I also remember a lot of visual clutter in Wo Long, it gets especially bad with all the particle effects. To be a bit more on topic, Origins did a pretty good job with this. There's the obvious issue of officers being lost among all the enemies, but they have those options to highlight them so it's not too bad. But since I use the setting that only highlights them when they attack, those throwing knife enemies always end up getting me when they're trying to target someone else. They've become the first enemies I go for in every encounter now.
>Nioh 3
Don't have a PS5 so I didn't play the demo, I'm a little tired of Nioh and I'm skeptical about the changes I've seen. I hope they do a PC demo soon though because I want to see for myself, I'm more optimistic for it than NG4.
