That's why you need extra shields and leveled cards so they can tank 2 hits until puppet gives you enough shells to give them all a defense boost. Norn's highlight also gives good shields which is good for early in the fight when you haven't got seashell stacks yet. Nobody should be dying. I beat this with A0 Ann A0 Ryuji using his blue weapon which was only level 50 and Lufel A3. If a weak character gets double targeted early on you can block with them but when you've got your seashell stacks and shields later on you can sometimes tank that shit.

To add to what others have said ie. use lufel, onions and ann.. what worked for me was not using soys shield move and just have him spam his physical skill on the nose. Guard any double bites, tho onion can survive at full. Ann just spams s2 on the eyes til they die. lufel heals and places burn if you can, he ran out of sp tho so i had to guard with him a few turns. Wonder: norn shields if low on hp otherwise mark with janosik on the nose. once nose is gone ann mops up the rest. and when nose revives just focus it down. Depends. I'd say if you don't have Ann at A2 just get a dupe of her. If you have Ann at A2, A3 is a meh power boost so I'd consider getting someone else. Morgana would be a waste if you have Marian because you'll pretty much always use her over him, Ryuji would be a good choice because his A1 is very good but he is pretty niche. I wouldn't consider Rin or Riddle at all honestly.
