Unironically just do whatever works. Speed is generally not amazing but it can help if you're doing like, a long uma and you need around 900 in both speed and stamina.

Go borrow someone's stamina horses. If you really pile on the stam sparks you'll get about 100 per inspiration. Go for horses that have the 20% stamina growth too so you can get higher faster, and if you had some good power cards that increase stamina gain that'll help get some decent stamina while you build a better stat.

Ultimately though its going to be hard unless you use MLB stamina cards cause its a harsh grind no matter how you slice it.

I wouldn't call it "weighted" but everything is done through what is essentially a digital deck of cards. like, if you finished Super Creek's 3 main events, the game can't pull her anymore so the odds of anything else go up. some (not all) regular events also are limited in quantity so if you pull them you can't pull them again, which does lead to scenarios where you get a lot of mood downs early and then later there's still lots of mood ups in the deck.

There's a lot more to it if you start the affinity autism as well, but essentially as the image shows there are 3 steps to sparks:
