The Blood Elves joining the horde was such a massive stretch of "Garithos was mean to our prince who wound up proving him right in every count so we're still malding about that and will literally join up with the people who have been killing us for hundreds of years before the humans first helped us".

Well judging from their word usage, they said "players on the realms" and not the servers directly. Means a wipe probably isn't even an option on the table, since that would affect a server, not a "players". Unless they are ESL mode. Server wipe with name retention would also just go back to square 1 problems, in that dense player clumping (all lvl 1 again at starter) will just cause further server load issues, pointing to again no wipe. On a path of no wipe, obv 1st would be prof/gold wipe with bag retention. This allows any [potential] financial gains reset to a lvl 1 roughly, without moving players back to start. 2nd could be an exp boost option, up to level 15 where the cutoff was. Not a great opt, but people may not be adverse to gaining back time they lost in a way that only hurts those who were ahead. 3rd could be retain the level 15 lock on the servers for another X amount of days. This would mean it stops those at cap exp wise (not financial gains) so others could catch up and get what they might have (now), and then unlock it once a sufficient amount of time has passed as a "soft launch" from lvl 15. Ofc if devs really are the cuck faggots they've shown to be at times, they could just bend the knee and wipe it.
