There is absolutely no way to look at this anniversary and say to oneself that they are doing as much as they can to improve game quality. Nothing. The quartz are nice but what do you have to spend it on? A single shitty character with an awful design (anyone who says otherwise is afflicted with Stockholme Syndrome, the design was literally clowned on since it was leaked in Olympus) which is technically based off another character we never gave a fuck about.
All this for what is supposed to be the biggest anni yet by right of it taking place 10 years after the game's birth and just before it concludes the main story arc. If the game goes into end of life mode, that will be way different than instant end of service. We can still reasonably get content during that time, even if it’s not tied to any big epic stories. If this was a move to lead directly into end of service, I think it would be fairly different. Though I expect the game is going to continue as long as they feel like they can put something into it. From how Nasu has spoken, I don’t think they will ever do another one, at least while type moon is under his control, so I think they will use the medium 100% completely to fill any lingering desires before ending it.

NTA, when I started playing FGO in 2018 I was heavily invested in it since it was my first gacha game and I always enjoyed the Type Moon world, but as time passed the more I realized he's not good at writing a decent plot, almost everyone will say I'm exaggerating but I genuinely believe the last time Nasu made a good plot in any form of media was Kara no Kyoukai 5.
