Hypothetically, they could phase it out by not introducing more outfit gacha banners and letting the current one run its course. But yeah, at best we'll probably only see a partial scale back of the system.

Beyond all the drama surrounding the controversial skin gacha, very few people have mentioned how boring these interactions can actually be. Don't get me wrong. Klukai’s scene is impressive at first glance. But in the end, it’s the kind of content you watch once and never touch again. The skin isn't truly interactive. The player just passively watches the scenes without participating in anything.

Browndust 2 also introduced this questionable skin gacha system, but at least the skin they made allowed for some level of interaction, with the player being able to "play around" with the character.

I haven't played Snowbreak, but I've heard that it also allows players to directly interact with the characters. Here, though, that’s not the case. Mica wants us to pay 130 dollars for a 9-minute cutscene that, honestly, you could just watch on YouTube for free.

That scene where we watch Klukai playing volleyball with the commander could have easily been a mini-game with player interaction. Same with the scene where he applies oil on her.

MICA massively overplayed their hands here. GFL2 is on the back foot in almost every aspect of a game. The gameplay is fucking ass and getting worse with more and more map wiping units. The story is meh, and is a far cry from the first game. And it is very lacking in interactive features for this type of Fanservice games. They have only dug themselves halfway out of their ditch with the 3d Elmo update but then starts nickel and diming people right away with hundred dollars skin gachas. 1. Get yourself a v2 Tololo and rent somebody else's Springfield. Roll for v0 Nikketa next banner.
2. Hoard all rolls until v0 Andoris, v1 Lenna and v1+ Leva

I was going to get one copy of AK15 anyway but I don't really like any of the physical characters so I wasn't planning on building them

Someone looked at that 3,000-coin furniture decoration and thought, “Yeah, that’s a fair price.” That last announcement made it clear: they don’t care.
So what’s this meeting even supposed to accomplish? They’re obviously not going to be talking to Yuzhong. It'll probably just be a bunch of interns or lower staff. At best, we’ll get some PR response like, “We’ll take this into consideration.”

The whole thing is a mess, and honestly, if the game ends up dying because of it, that’ll be interesting to watch.

This season I started to encounter v6 Springfields in PvP. While she isn't as oppressive as Klukai who instakills your whole team, you can't safely initiate on her while her bird is on. Thankfully Vector makes everyone weak to burn and QH with her jump and multiple actions can reach anyone she wants. Now I only need to get sword from voyage to test if Ullrid can reach and OHKO someone with her jump on turn 1. If yes, I'll be set. If not, I guess I'll have to decide who to use in last slot: Suomi, Tololo or someone else. Can't wait to v6 my own Springfield.

I have a regular job and the amount of money I spend on this game is so tiny compared to what I make that its a very easy thing to justify because it makes me enjoy the game more. I'm a grown ass man with a house, a car, no family, gaming is my only hobby. 20 bucks on a skin is like nothing and I enjoy it and I want to support a game that I like so I'm willing to spend it. I can afford to spend $100, $200, $1000, $5000 on a skin if I really wanted to but one, that's stupid, and two, it shows a huge disrespect for the customer on MICA's part.
