Project Moon as a whole is an extremely funny case in that on all accounts, it literally should not have succeeded. They ran out of money when developing LobCorp; got scammed by fraudulent EN Translators; turned down for investments by several companies, LoR was probably relatively smooth, but still had some noticeable speed bumps. Not to mention, anyone who's been with Limbus since Day 1 can attest to the fact that if it weren't for some sort of divine providence, Limbus by all accounts should have crashed and burned thanks to it's insanely rough launch, riddled with a shit ton of bugs and performance issues, and zero proper advertisement, in a market that's brutally cutthroat and heavily saturated (They even failed the initial pre-registration campaign, which is why FMF Ryoshu wound up being the face of the First Battle pass, lmao). The reception for Limbus was incredibly frosty by anyone outside the PM fanbase (And even a good chunk of the PM fanbase itself was actively rooting for Limbus to fail and declaring it a financial failure after half a week when it's first revenue report came in with about $180k for it's first 3 days). This isn't even getting into the giant can of worms that was the 7/27 debacle, which was so bad, that even I, a major fan of PM since 2020, thought we might genuinely be looking at the end.
Still, despite everything, through what I can only describe as multiple moments of divine intervention, PM was able to somehow hold on and weather the worst of everything, and come back even stronger after each incident. Yeah, this company can definitely be a clown show at times, still, once you take a moment to look at the bigger picture, you can see that the people behind the scenes have their heart in the right place, and genuinely love the stories they tell and the work they do.

There has not been a single good season of Limbus
You can like the story, but every season has been shit in its own way
Season 1 had a terrible launch with badly implemented and/or outright missing systems (for farming thread), it was very greedy (because of thread and battlepass progress from mds), it had terrible banners, non-existant stauses, 2 badly made cantos that were somehow underbaked despite PM having years to make them. It also had constant changes to mechanics, some good and some bad, but it made the game unstable in any case. PM also nerfed base EGO to encourage pay-pigging. There were actually good rewards back then, but it was a mess. The intervallo was good
Season 2 had the best canto so far (if you ignore part 1 and 2 being 40+ copypasted fights) and a decent intervallo, but the railway was trash, the md was trash (but more generous), and it had the controversy and delay.
Season 3 had a weak canto and 1 bad intervallo, TCTB was just ok. The railway was better, but not good and it took a long time to release. Id releases were better than season 2, but not by much. The first walpurgisnacht was a bit mixed again

Season 4 was a decent canto and the intervallos really were a step up. The railway was arguably better and the MD was finally good good (until you get tired of grinding it). But it took like 8 months. There was nothing wrong with it per se, except it really ramping up the thread of formulaic id design, but it was way too fucking long. Although status teams finally coming together was great. The intervallos were arguably the best we've had (you decide if that says more about the intervallos in this season or intervallos in general). The Walpurgis events starting being real events around here iirc. Some people didnt like the "marvel tier story", but most liked it. I myself thought it was okay, I really liked the pacing of part 1 and part 3 not having a dungeon and mixing this up. The production quality was good, but it took 8 FUCKING MONTHS.
Season 5 was.... a season of all time. The reception to the canto was more mixed and the railway wasn't seen as much better or worse. The intervallos were a bit of a nothingburger and the canto was also extremely long. I think 1 week delays were implemented during the very beginning of it and id design had really started to stagnate at this point. The MD was ok, but besides that who cares. Walpippy was delayed insanely long.
And now in season 6 its not much better. The MD is literally the same, there are no new thread luxes months in, there will be no railway, one less intervallo, a fucking gacha collab, every id is a 000 because they cost more and everything is seasonal so you have to get it right away. The next canto will also be delayed despite them scaling down.
