CM is a fixed difficulty that scales any gear down to the same ilvl and the reward is entirely cosmetic + you only need to get gold once per character. What I meant by balance is all classes are FAR more powerful at the end of the expansion compared to early on, on top of lots of mechanics being tuned and nerfed within all dungeons that also carried off to CMs. Classic servers always start off on the final balance patch for that era.

Videos do help because it's the same content, there's a massive amount of cheese strats on top of gem stacking that lets any dumbfuck faceroll CMs which was what was being done before original real MoP ended. Early to mid MoP they were still challenging but by the end of the MoPs xpac life everything was discovered with loads of videos showcasing all the massive cheese strats, skips, and high end player PoV's that even a monkey can copy when there's an example he can just watch over and over.

Theres a reason we say that Cata/MoP/Wod was WoW2, it felt like a complete shift in the games direction in nearly every way. Including stuff like art design. They gained a few polys but lost the low poly art discipline they had in vanilla.

Some of the OG weapons are so well done they still almost hold up today, and the stuff from literally ten years later looks worse.

The limitation in tach led to creativity and inspired solutions vs the next gen devs got much higher texture and poly budgets and just lazily filled them out with slop.

Oh we have extra polygons? Lets stick a buch of proitruding nails on everything, each one of which uses up more polygons than a vanilla wow pauldron.
