IF I WAS ELECTED THE PRESIDENT OF DUEL LINKS
I would implement the following program

1) On top of the slop already obtainable from the trader, you can also buy any R or N card from any box with gold.
2) You can buy stones and keys with gold, or sell them for gold.
3) The random "specials" that refresh every 8 hours are no longer a set amount of cards, but random UR/SR cards which you can normally obtain with box chips only.
4) All gates can be auto-dueled, not just red gates.
5) Kill all niggers, troons and brown "people". Make it illegal to boycott Israel.
6) Ranked now shows the current player's timer.
7) Whenever someone interrupts your turn for longer than 5 seconds (because of an activation prompt) you get the entire interruption time added to your timer.
8) If you win the "coin flip" you pick if you go first or second, just like in better gatcha card games.
9) The rank up system is more transparent, you know exactly how many times you need to win to rank up.
10) You and your opponent's MMR is visible when you get matched and in replays.

Use it with Arcana Force VII or Scab Scarknight to steal any of your opponent's monsters. Masquerade and the blue Lyrilusc bird with big boobs will never recover.
I guess you could use it on Raye to kill a monster in the EMZ to bring Roze out of the graveyard. Still can't do damage tho.
Actually Scab + Rainbow Life or Life Barrier would've been really funny during Lyrilusc meta. Real answer is to transfer the attack to monster with protection or gain LP off of it to survive next turn.

The only other target I can think of is Flying Red Carp to either summon Citadel Whale for Sea Stealth Attack battle phase pranks or the Latin Turtle to stuff Sky Strikers. Maybe combine it with Ice Barriers to form some janky lock. Daisojo + Cryomancer + Testudo can lock down Speedroids and Gusto in theory.

You can only play cards like that in tournaments, if you have Oracle text at hand, or an available judge. That's why MtG lets you play with cards in any language, unlike Yugioh which has to separate brown people from Japanese and other bug people. All the information you need to know is then still on the card.

The Tindangle archetype has a legitimately cool design. It's based on monsters from a sci-fi horror story from the 40's and the archetype's gameplay actually does a good job at referencing the abilities of the monsters from the book, with them hiding under the set cards and being at their most powerful when they can form a triangle to corner their prey (the reason for Acute Cerberus' name). It's just wasted on a really boring character and his asinine "this multidimensional horror monster represents the bond with my sister" nonsense because, unlike whoever designed the cards, the show writers didn't read the book (or any other book ever, for that matter).

The name could be better. That story is in the public domain, so they could have just called it Tindalos. But they have a lot working against them aside from that. The archetype is anime-bad and the character who uses it isn't memorable enough to be able to have any sort of hope of it ever getting support that can fix it. Hell the skill in DL is the brainless type that makes it trivial to summon its boss monster. But its boss monster doesn't do shit, so it doesn't matter. But it is still cool in concept, and this is still a huge waste.

The ace card outright named Cerberus and you're just ignoring how Akira's deck is mostly based on greek mythology. The interdimensional horror creatures called hounds easily connect to the 3 headed dog that guards the underworld dimension. As SOL and vrains director Akira represents Hermes the god and psychopomp who guides souls to the underworld, his deck being themed around Cerberus and similar interdimensional creatures made perfect sense, the deck was designed around the Hermes analogy. It's not mostly based on Greek mythology. It's mostly based on math. The cards are named after geometric figures or other math terms and each main deck monster is supposed to represent an angle, which is why when you link 3 of them, you get a triangle: Acute Cerberus (named after an acute triangle and having 3 heads because it's made using 3 of the hounds). And the reason for all of this is that the Hounds can enter our dimension through angles and will typically wait until they can form a triangle around their prey before attacking. Cerberus doesn't even belong to Hermes, so that whole ramble about Hermes and Aphrodite seems like a stretch.

Tindangles being focused on math and geometry connects to Hermes being a god of knowledge. Cerberus wasn't exclusively tied to Hades in legend and Hermes regularly guided souls past him. Also, you can nitpick the hell out of Yugioh's metaphors about Egyptian mythology. Isis and Hathor are put into the same character as Anzu as some sort of mother/girlfriend combination. Horus as Yugi wasn't the main one responsible for laying Osiris to rest, he mainly avenged him by defeating Set. In legend Osiris didn't even fight Apophis as some physical human being like Atem did with Bakura. Apophis/Apep is just the serpent of darkness and death. A lot of bakura was made by blending ideas of egyptian mythology into a human figure (mixed with anime characters). And most importantly, Akhenaten was a real pharaoh of Egypt, possibly responsible for being the origin of monotheism in western religion. He didn't try to usurp the throne for his bloodline. Akhenaten and Set were the real pharaohs. Atem as a literary device was meant to insert primordial creation mythology into an epic about defeating the darkness. You can only view Akhenaten as an evil figure by seeing him as perpetuating monotheistic heresy. Metaphors and analogies by definition are imperfect. And Yugioh is based on blending mythologies and stories from so many different places. By demanding analogies and metaphor fit perfectly into your vision of what the true legends are you're negating the point of symbolism.

Comparative mythology is always like this. It's about archetypes and finding the commonalities. You can't see yugi as osiris or horus without acknowleding archetypes. Man journeying into hell to save his love is a notable point of comparison on its own. As for your interpretation of orpheus and eurydice, there's no truly set version of events. old legends were told again and again slightly changing with different meanings applied, and ideas of gods punishing and rewarding mortals varied from storyteller to storyteller. Major poets of greek mythology like Homer, Hesiod, Ovid lived hundreds of years separate from each other and each had different view of man positon the gods. Then of course a lot of these legends were matters of cult worship and may have symbolized forms of religious practice. A character like Orpheus could have been a real person mythologized after death.

I have no issue with drawing parallels between myths and anime. I have issue when you ignore the obvious parallels and take a crooked, bent line and pretend it "symbolically" is a parallel. Sherry has Noble Knights, but her inspiration is obviously Jeanne. Can't exactly dispute some of your interpretations, the symbolism of a lot of these gods has crossover as there was always syncretism (god switching names and cults converging) within greece and outside with egypt and the middle east. Will say, the interpretations I used for these characters were much more in line with seeing Yusaku as mainly a form of Ares or Hercules, Ai as a form of Eros(cupid), and Aoi as Aprhodite. There's symbolism of many more deities stacked on top of them. Especially Japanese and Buddhist ones.

Saw Aoi as mostly associated with the Sky, the Sea, Bees, And mermaids which are all heavily associated with Aphrodite. Her association to her Yusaku and Ai was built from that. Aoi taking on a type of role like Eurydice early on could also easily be seen as her being like Persephone. Speculated that Miyu was supposed to be more representative of Persephone as she was actually taken by Hanoi in the anime's story. And perhaps that was reflective of Aoi's character through Aqua. Also the moon symbolism they throw on to Aoi could probably connect her to Selene or Artemis.

Can see where you got the idea of Akira being like Hades, and yeah the symbolism probably is there to an extent, especially his wealth. It's just that Revolver seemed more like Hades from the fact that he was much more heavily associated with death and judgment through his deck of rokkets, turned vrains into hell on his first appearance in the anime, trying to blow up everything, and his consistent opposition to Ai. Ryoken even held Aoi's data/soul like Hades would. Everything about his character in the anime is about death and despair. Him ultimately being friends with yusaku would be corresponding to respect between Ares and Hades and their association to war. It's admittedly more about the position of his character to Playmaker.

What's the TL;DR on chimera? What is the most important thing to hit with veiler or droplet?

I have literally not seen a single chimera player in Legend so far, the only time I get to play against chimera is bronze/silver/gold Vagabonds for some reason. Why is Chimera popular exclusively with lower rank players?

Immortal Phoenix isn't a quick effect so you can only use it in the main phase. It doesn't matter if you out their board in the main phase. They can just use Berfomet and/or Chimera King in the graveyard in the battle phase to stop you from killing them. Also Chimera can use Abyss Dweller to stop you from going into Phoenix to begin with.

How many gems have you earned during this 1.5x XP event?

I levelled at least 5 characters so far from Level 30 to Level 44 or 45. Had to spend about 5000 gems on trash I don't need (random special single card deals, Sky Sister Box, selection box that gave me nothing I wanted), because I get triggered when I see low gems in the red notification at 9999.

You can get a good mileage with cursed seal of forbidden spell for both but specially for chimera. Kinda clunky but it ultimately shuts them down. For despia, use it with their field spell and for branded in red, a well timed crow or droplet would do the trick.

Fatal Five gimmicks or more staples. Lunalights die to interruption so you need something else to break boards. All the LL skills are generic so you could mix and match archetypes with good draw power. Link spamming into Underworld Goddess is also pretty easy so you could also wait until Accesscode hits the DL towers or Perfume brings the new support with it.

I tried the Sky Striker skill with it exactly once against a very retarded Sky Striker player and got Leo Dancer out with Linkage in my hand on Turn 4. Tenki and Poly spells fill the grave pretty nice to power up spells and starting combos with Marten to search Lunalight Fusion bypasses filling your field for fusions.

Some meta cards can only be obtained in selection boxes.
Selection boxes have limited pulls you can do with gems, if the card you want is at the bottom of the box you have to pay to continue digging.
Selection boxes reset after they go away and come back, so you lose all progress and have to start from scratch.
If you see a decklist with 3 nibiru that guy probably spent 300$ on those.

For a new player I'd suggest you stay away from those packs, usually you can replace the cards with other more accessible options.

Last time I played rush competitively was on the tier -1 Gaia deck format.
The problem with rush is there's no real interactions, the only way to interact with opponent on their turn is via the very limited trap pool, where everyone runs f2p backrow removal.
This causes all matches to be really shallow.
If you are annoyed with car2ryurrent speed format because every deck sets up at least 2 interactions in-engine, you could find rush refreshing.

If you flip Shadow-Imprisoning Mirror they genuinely do not know what to do. You may say "Quaertis". I say Linkage. Even if they know you set Linkage, they can't do anything to stop it. Killing Masq or Spinning Morningstar in the EMZ will also revive Roze from the grave so you're not completely bereft of recursion.
Non-Fusion Area is powerful but expected. The answer is not to stop them at Masq, the answer is to stop them at Aluber. That or rely on draw-Droll-or-die strats

For me, skills are way too centralizing. They limit deckbuilding insanely but the effects are too powerful to ignore. They also hate warriors not named Gaia. Wanna run Buster Blader? Not with a Gaia or Yamiruler skill. Wanna run Yamiruler? Not with the Gaia or Buster Blader cards. Wanna run Gaia? Run it with any archetype except Yamiruler or Buster Blader. The difference between 2300, 2500 and 2600 is specifically meant to segregate these guys forever even if they ever stop limiting Yamiruler. Put me off of investing in Rush more than just the fact Psychics and Warriors are premium decks.

We ain't getting Duel Links 2 both because I doubt anyone is going to sit through drip feeding of the shows + DSOD again and because Konami isn't going to allocate enough resources to make it feel like a "2" if you get what I mean. They will use fumbling Cross Duel as an excuse not to put in more effort.
