When you have a group chat, one of the settings is whether or not the defs of every character are used in the prompt, or if only the one who is active speaking gets their information sent.
If I choose to send both/all, and if both cards have {{char}} tags in them, does ST know to use the right names for each of them? Or will it use the name of the active speaker on both defs, making the non-speaking one have wrong information?

Anyone have experience with groupchats with 'characters' for specific things like narration, strictly side characters or those status tracking things people try to put in regular cards? I think you could better force token counts or other system type commands into a more narrow focused card.

Swapped from 8GB video card model to a 22GB one just using RAM. Not sure how high context limit can go, the actual chat itself doesn't increment it very fast once the character stuff is included. 50,000 would probably take most of a week, and even 32GB of RAM does that easily.
I can't say I noticed any improvement in the quality of response really. It's slower than reading speed but I didn't really like having no time to think between my own responses.

My personal experience with chatbots tell me this won't work. No matter how much you tardwrangle the AI, it will still want to put dialogue, narration and conclusions on every reply.
You might be able to separate stats from the rest but I highly doubt you'll be able to separate dialogue from narration.

Right now my setup only has it responding as the character(s). Narration is non-existant which is generally fine because I mostly want to guide what happens. It never concludes anything.
I haven't tried to block dialogue but I feel like there is a solution in having them be dumb/gagged/not having a mouth.

I was sort of thinking or having a card devoted to tracking things like location, clothing, etc that AI tends to fuck up.


Another thing that would be nice to have is a list of openers to use independent of what card you are using, like an extension that adds it to the list you click the direction buttons to scroll through. >99% of cards have garbage for their opener with a whole bunch of backstory or speaking for the user that should not be used at all nevermind the foremost example of how to respond.

You 100% definitely had presets or even sysprompt crap poisoning the request and telling it shit like "Write a reply from {{char}} to {{user}}" that conflicted with the card's "Write a stat block" instructions. I guarantee you you can pass in a prompt like this:

Replace the explicit measurements with descriptions. Be happy if your model can figure out that someone who is very tall is actually taller than someone who is very small. If you're using explicit sizes, it would have to first figure out how big or small that really is. It may well be able to do that if you directly asked it about it, but it's way too much for it to do anything useful with it in a story.
