in fighting game terms honesty of move/character is the differential between how hard it is to execute vs how hard it is to defend/counter against
things like projectiles in fighting games are very easy to spam and throw willy nilly but comparatively harder to counter
sword is like spamming fireball in street fighter, you vomit a bunch of shit on the board and overwhelm your opponent whereas your opponent has to think what you will do each turn and respond appropriately

You aren't making meaningful decisions when even during deckbuilding you know that the devs have made cards that are clearly superior at any given cost.
You just play what they designed.
There is some space for exploration, but not as much as I'd like. Some things are clearly far too superior.

Legendary/Gold powerlevels are way too strong. Compare SV1 legendaries for the first few sets to SV2 legendaries. Couple that with the ability to reroll into extra legendaries/golds and you end up with current take two. Earth Sigils are a meme.
Spellboost is stronger and more consistent. But it can still lose to Sword because Sword is bullshit and has Albert.

Wish forest wasn't shoehorned into playing fairies all the time. They are so lame... I'm tempted to go back to SV1 and finish the wins required to get the old fairy art at least.

it has a very scary wincon called reaching 10 mana on turn 6
and the only reason it's bad is because it does not have annegrea or kuon to survive

it can actually theoretically heal for 17 in one turn using only a normal evo point

Or, just play the best 5 drop in the game, the best 6 drop in the game, and the best 7 drop in the game back to back, and just do all that without ever sacrificing tempo or praying to high roll. Dragon "can" do something that requires the opponent to pass turn, and for you to draw perfectly, while rune "DOES" the thing every single fucking game.

Yeah it's quite miserable to play against, the only difference is that Rune right now is consistent where Dragon isn't.
I can see this game getting worse with each expansion until rotation MAYBE fixes things.
Also people cry about Luminous, but the 5 drop merman is the same so in some ways dragon also has the value drop factor.
Otohime fan can also get ridiculous if you get RNG by draws because 2x SEVO 2x EVO contribute 10 face damage on top of them.
Not like it's needed, it's just such a fucking stupid thing to have in the game.

A deck CAN hypothetically match his broken deck once in every 100 games when all the stars align, that means him doing it every single game is balanced, and we should all stop saying Rune is overtuned, and just praise him for his skill as a deck pilot.
