in fighting game terms honesty of move/character is the differential between how hard it is to execute vs how hard it is to defend/counter against
things like projectiles in fighting games are very easy to spam and throw willy nilly but comparatively harder to counter

You just play what they designed.
There is some space for exploration, but not as much as I'd like. Some things are clearly far too superior.

Legendary/Gold powerlevels are way too strong. Compare SV1 legendaries for the first few sets to SV2 legendaries. Couple that with the ability to reroll into extra legendaries/golds and you end up with current take two. I can see this game getting worse with each expansion until rotation MAYBE fixes things.

That was about Take Two. It just shows how broken the sword cards are compared to every other craft. Every other craft needs actual synergy (e.g., Ward haven with William into Aether, etc.) to make a deck that works, while Sword just vomits on the board until you get overwhelmed and die, no card synergy required. honestly, sword isn't anywhere near as bad as rune. sure, it's very strong but the matchup still feels winnable a lot of the time, plus they have a weakness (no healing) and you pretty much know how sword is going to play, which is trying to albert you for 12 on t9. rune feels a lot worse to lose to because they either outheal you with norman (as aggro), or satan dclimb combo you (as midrange/control), and in both cases there's not much that you could've done other than hoping that they brick and dont have all of their legos.

That's what really ruins it for me. That and being able to redraw higher rarity cards. You should always get the same amount of games and get rewards based on number of wins, and redrawing bronzes or silvers should give fucking bronzes or silvers back.

Rune being the second deck is entirely a function of Sword stomping anything that can’t out its boards into oblivion, if Sword goes Rune balances out - even in this meta it already dies to Aggro Abyss and Roach.
