They would solve the dearth in casual content if they just made more than 3 alliance raids per expansion and went back to adding a bunch of non-msq trials. People liked Shadowbringers not only because the story was actually good, but because it had 3 extra alliance raids (Bozja) on top of the Nier stuff, and 3 sidequest trials that were part of the best storyline in the entire game. Endwalker literally only had that completely forgettable Manderville trial that didn't even get an extreme version. Oh and those weird dungeon things that most people either completely ignored or one-and-done'd.

The problem is the casual content longevity, not the lack of it.
Casual content that is too easy is cleared too fast and players move on for the next thing too fast, adding grinds to the content for collectibles is an option but going by the latest demiatma grind then they'll just cry about it.

One thing I think yoship always did wrong was to not double down on the grinds now that the game is in a 4month patch cycle. Because lets be fair here, the game was way grindier back when we had a 3 month patch cycle than now with 4.
