Had that issue and tried Reinstalling Easy Anti Cheat but it didn't fix it. I had to restart (not shutdown) my PC to get it to work again.

Yeah, you're describing the same issue I have had more than once this year, that shit seems to happen when EAC fails to initialize properly before launching TFD. If it's real bad when you attempt to do anything else it seizes your PC and instantly forces a restart. Restarting your PC and just relaunching the game as your first task usually allows it to work but reinstalling EAC fixed it for me for a month before it did it again.

Big reason is that 99% of my playtime this season with any particular character has been just levelling a guy in sigma / 400% this season. I do like Valby, I even made an attempt to get her to 60 because she was my favourite from way back when but stacking cleanup and big puddles kid of suck, and I'd rather ice wave impedance viessa to water sports valby since her run at things ability does not prevent her from throwing stuff in front of her.

Even if I was factoring in coloss killing potential, if I am fighting a coloss I'm either fighting it with Jayber for the memes or I'm fighting it with Esiemo / Serena to actually get a good time to kill. When I have brought Valby to big coloss fights - which I haven't done since bigger purplier devourer - I was unimpressed.

My Valby was unironically raped by another player in Albion.

Serena's 4 gives gives her bonus damage based on her max HP, with some silly scaling while also making her guns AOE. Approximately every 10k hp gives her +100% damage so she hits +200% on a casual build while having >50%, meanwhile other characters are lucky if they get higher than 50%. That'd be good on it's own, but the real kicker is the AOE, especially in combination with certain guns. Malevolent in particular is procc'ing about a 15m AOE with every single bounce of it's homing blade, which let's her kill 50 guys with one pull of the trigger.

Emphasis on casual build, you need, like, two HP mods and two cooldown mods to be one of the better gunners in the game? That's why I can't in good faith put her below Jayber and Enzo even if I do use the not-at-all biased excuse of catalyst provision.

Meanwhile, she's got TWO other buffs to gun DPS in her kit - her passive alone being better than most character's actives. That, and she restores ammo to herself and everyone else, she is the best speed booster for team in the game, and she's the second best healer in the game; which isn't a high bar granted, but Yujin does very little *except* HP heal, while Serena is theoretically only marginally behind in heals in the event she ever goes full support while also giving fat DR and MP recover, and the only reason she doesn't is because being the best DPS in the game is better than being the best support. And even beyond that belly flop build along side wall-haxing resistance-debuffing self-propagating DOT isn't even bad nuking although that build needs way more investment.

To sum up, best healer next to Yujin (who does little else), best gunscendant next to *maybe* Gley on her best day (who does little else), best team support for main content worth doing with hymn, and a good nuker if not exceptional. And I guess she beats Jayber at the turret game with enhanced KGL, if anyone cares (she's got *two* abilities to give it AOE).

Like they had to make Ice Maiden gun resistant specifically because devs didn't want her to top every leaderboard again, but then she just swapped to her other gun buff and wouldn't you know it she's still under <10 second'ing it. Probably better than, I haven't bothered to check in a while.

And if you don't distinguish between source and count malevolent + 4 explosions as mobbing, well, turns out she's top 5 best mobber in the game too. Her vanilla 4 is better than her trans'd 4 for mobbing purposes, she's such power creep that she actually power creeps herself.

The only thing sort of slightly stopping her from being super duper completely gamebreakingly overpowered is that if she does swap to doing full heals - or doing belly flop nuking for some reason - she can't also be the best gunner in the game; but if she did, she'd still be extremely arguably the second best gunner. That's how ridiculously broken she is.

The BPs:

1. 400% infiltrations with your speed runner of choice to get amps. Keelan, Ines, Bunny etc. Makes sure you get an amp that can be opened by a field reactor, not a collos (amp number 3, 5, 7 etc will do this).

2. Go to field reactor with like 20+ amps in tow and crack them all open. Characters who can boss quickly are good, characters who can beat up commanders while AFK opening amps are even better since you won't have to stop summoning reactors to crack amps and so have maximum efficiency; Jayber is one of the best for this since it's one of very few missions where you actually do stay in one place for 5 minutes.

3. Don't get fucked by RNG.

The mats:

1. Light green residue is just running sterile land dungeons. Use mobber of choice.

2. Dark green residue is opening lockers with Mr Stallone, or Mrs Stallone soon.

3. Blue Brains is White Night Gulch, third area, that mission to the north of the courtyard. Start the mission, kill the one elite who spawns, leave, repeat. Anyone who can one shot the guy from the mission start point is good, hover Serena or Jayber are good choices.

4. Pink Sponge is the outpost by north west of the big tree in Echo Seamp (with a reactor underneath it). Just drop fat AOE of choice on the column with the three computers around it. I think Viessa is technically the fastest but anyone with a decent boom will do.

The decision to make trigger modules require 10 catalysts is probably shortsighted, 40 AT was enough. I feel like I'm just pissing away catalysts past 7 when the builds I have in mind fit under 85 capacity. The only characters I already had at 10 I was either clueless about when I first started or I set up for meme builds that never get used outside of specific gimmick fights. I don't even give a fuck about spending the catalysts, it doesn't take long and I have almost 300 in stock, but it's gonna be a pain point for all of the newcomers.

Adding to this most ult guns are hot dogshit until you've loaded them up with cores which is endgame stuff, exception being statsticks like Secret Garden and Blue Beetle.
