Mixed Artifact Puppet Portal is still the best Portal deck, isn't it? I tried to lean more on puppet by using Orchis as a hard wincon and try to build gundam by t10 as a secondary wincon but I think it's too slow unless you topdeck every game. I don't know about the other one but this one is CERTAINLY wrong. The basic logic of it is flawed to begin with because the 50% win rate for pack+gold break even is impossible. You get 100 gold for losing two games straight up which would push you over 50% instantly even if you could only end at two wins. Any wins over two immediately pushes the average expected value over multiple games over.

If you care about the current pack, then if you have a 50% winrate, in the long run you lose on average 1 gold per every 1000 gold spent on a take two entry compared to just buying the packs. You need a winrate above 50% in order to not lose money with it. That's not generous, that's the bare minimum reward structure.

Also, the deck I've been using this was Rune and the furthest I got was Sapphire. Sword really is much easier to pilot.
I hope they only shaft one of Sword or Rune next expansion, and not both. Because these two are the only classes I know how to play...

Wrong. The core problem with spellboost is you can't play around anything they do. You have no way to know whether the potential William in their hand has 2 spellboosts on him or 69.
So you have no meaningful decisions to make - they are playing against themselves and you just hope they don't have bullshit to respond with.
This is not true of control decks in general.
As a simple example, if you're playing against boomer CBlood and they have a lot of cards in hand, you can reasonably expect them to have a Revelation in hand, then you can potentially play around it by evolving a follower above 8 hp so that it survives the Revelation. Etc.
Being able to meaningfully play around what they do makes for all the difference in the world.

I don't know for how long I will keep playing. On one hand there is some fun to be had with more balanced matchups that feel like natural rng and we'll though card play. Nah, as you get higher the MMR is more likely to push you towards forced 50/50s. It's different than in other games because you're always going to go against whales with premium draws or other tryhards around your ranking. Draft quality comes into play then too, pretending card games are skill based, especially in a draft mode where you can randomly reroll rarities, is pure cope. You can also get 3 Gildaria and just never draw them.
