skin gacha basically requires you to shell out money. the only way f2p are going to get free anything is by sticking to one banner for a year, but by then they're going to miss out on at least a half a dozen banners, dozens of skins and interacts, etc... and if they switch banners halfway, there is almost no way to "catch up" before the banner disappears after a year.
the only other way to get them is to just pay. at least with dolls you can plan accordingly. this system has no pity and is just going to ream people in the ass. it is literally designed to trap people and fomo them.

You can cheese the stage really hard by spawn camping all the enemies. Since they spawn in a line, QJ can usually hit 6-8 of them with this skill + the key that makes this hit more than one enemy. Also:

>position 2 dolls where Vector and QJ are to completely block the path
>now enemies have to walk all the way around to the left and then back again to escape the maze you created
>because most of them are melee they will skip attacking you as well since they have to path the opposite direction now
>QJ's line attack will kill or maim most enemies on spawn
>If you have other fire dolls they'll support attack off the overburn, killing most survivors
You can clear every wave by doing this. Strategy works on 18 Frenzy as well. If you don't have QJ you can still pull this off with some other AOE dolls but you'll want one single target hitter for the elites that spawn.

Anyone who has a fire team. What dolls do you have access to? I can probably copy your team and come up with a strat for clearing. About to go to bed but if you reply I'll check it out tomorrow and post a guide for your team if I can do it.
Also check out my other awesome guides because this might be enough to help you if you copy the strategy. The strat works with other teams, you don't need a fire team to do it, it just helps because QJ's line attack is absurd on this fight.

To get the max rewards you need to see a 5% or less. On the right side you can see the total score your platoon got. Tell us how much it was (even if you round it up a little)

It's pretty fun for blobber autism and the dev are seriously trying to kill you and make things unfair. It hews a lot towards traditional online rpg types of games in that there's a huge gear grind that you cannot pay your way past (you can but the value is abysmal, even by JP gacha standards).
Regarding the gacha, some good points are:
The dupes you pull trying to get your favorite character are all actually pretty damn useful, as they're used to level individual skills.
Legendary (SSR) characters aren't a whole lot better than the regular named characters (SR) and there's a lot of team-building potential if you want to mix things up. (There *is* an optimal, and it *will* make things easier, but still not enough to just idle through content).
Bad points are:
The gacha itself is super stingy. You don't get many banner pulls per month (you still get some standard pulls in addition) and a lot of the early income was from apologems.
The value you get from spending is pretty bad. If you're mid spender, you'll get maybe 50% more banner pulls per month (1.5 x 0 = 0).
