lock is always the least played class and generally a you either love it or hate it. it is pet+dot gameplay and then late game no pet do to sacrifice. also soul shard farming and summonings. just all around a different feeling than most other classes

this also means that on vanilla+ servers it also usually has shit changes, on turtle for example a bunch of devs (if not all) play pally so it is really good and needs continual nerfs. lock is the opposite and it is clear devs don't know what to fully do with it, cause it is low playrate

tl;dr Play the class and see if you enjoy cause no one can really say "this is the class for you" when it comes to lock

i don't want to give away my secrets too much but i will help everyone decide what to level on twow fresh: dual box and play two obviously synergistic classes, at least one of which you want to play at end game. you will level more efficiently and have two classes to chose from for end game. you can also level otherwise bad leveling classes like warrior easily this way.

The epoch thread collected all the tourists, all the people from /v/, plebbit and even the XIV-doomers feel drawn to it.
Anniversary just hit AQ40 which usually causes a big drop for vanilla servers, epoch is the only vanilla-like server that isnt years old or some form of insane cash-grab, so if youre interested in starting vanilla you have nowhere else to go.

If you’re going to start a new character, it’s better to do it on Ambershire. On Nord it can take 30-60 minutes to find a group for a low level dungeon. Half the other players you see are hardcore (and cannot interact with regular players), twinks or alts being boosted by their level 60 mains.

You’ll have a far better experience on Ambershire in two weeks.
