The key to Metaltronus cost is that it banishes "face-down" which prevents Maliss from recurring. If Opponent is only running 1 Maliss boss name, like White Binder or Red Ransom, and you banish it face-down, it's normally just out completely, as I understand it.

Depends on how many seed/bloom you're running, 3 seed and 1-3 bloom you can do your regular traptrix combo, then toss a traptrix to summon seed and get a stag sovereign out of it. If you're just using 1 of each ragnaraika card, you need to summon jasmine with sera and dionaea, tribute any monster (you usually have enough materials to make strenna, who cheats out hyperiton when tributed) to summon evil seed from deck and go from there.

Ragnaraika is a shitty engine by the way, the only deck that benefits from it is 60 card plantslop, because the locks it imposes don't fucking matter. You're better off shoving ryzeal or even fiendsmith in traptrix.

Okay after nearly a week of research, grinding resources to build my deck, and playtesting I finally feel like I can really "begin" to play YGO. Completely new player, i'm mainly a magic player and put off YGO for years because of the memes but got frustrated enough with MTG that I wanted to try YGO just to really see what's there considering it's the second most popular TCG out there and there had to be more to it beyond "le epic OTKs".

I fucked up originally because I didn't quite understand the deck yet so when I ran out of UR resources I was missing Yama and Abomination, with Yama being absolutely crucial for the deck to work and Abom being a massive payoff to actually win on my turn.

Based that's how I started too. Literally built Myutants (dogshit bottom of the barrel garbage (I love them so much)) as my first deck because it was the first deck I found a guide for that I could comprehend. So I learned the game through that. Yours is much better, good luck anon.

Some of those cards seem strange though. Kuriphoton seems completely pointless and does Unchained really play 2 Soul of Disaster now? I haven't played the new version of the deck but it was always a 0-1 of. I'd probably swap them out for something cheap like Book of Moon which is really good against both top decks right now.

Also definitely prioritize Maxx "C" whenever you have UR dust free, it's a must have that you really should have made before Fuwalos (which is just a weaker version of Maxx "C")

As for your list, unchained is pretty cool, keep at it until you finish your corr with 3 sharvara so you can cut out the blue dogs in the main deck and then save to roll for a solid meta or rogue deck that can carry you for a while or just to build something to have fun with. Explain how it is any different from any other form of disruption. It just boils down to "you cannot play the game because..." except in this case instead of that because being something related to the current state of the game (i.e. i'm denying your attempt to play this card) it's related to the future state of the game (i'm denying your ability to access these cards).
And while that may feel more obnoxious, at a fundamental level it's all the same. If anything it can at times be less obnoxious because that future state is vague. If I negate your card that's a definite play you've been denied. If I remove cards at random from your deck I may remove ones which have insignificant impact on your intended plays.

You're conflating yugioh gameplay with other TCGs which is improper. Everyone hates blue in MTG, why? Because it spams negates. What does every meta deck aim to do in yugioh? Spam negates. The fundamental concept is identical. You play a TCG to PLAY WITH YOUR CARDS, and mill breaks that fundamental concept but take those cards from your deck and putting them somewhere where you can no longer play with them anymore. It's infuriating. Especially if they mill a garnet or the EXACT card you needed to out them that you could have searched, but "oops, nice it's gone!!"

It's an incredible toxic strategy that does nothing but infuriate players by fundamentally playing by different rules with different win-conditions, and when mill can leverage the best of mill and still pivot into stun or combo like Runick can to utterly fuck you, and then recycle its shit it's even worse.

There's a REASON that in every TCG, including Yu-Gi-Oh, devs are always careful to never allow mill to become the strongest strategy as it just turns the game into the most toxic unfun, uninteractive shit imaginable.
