I mean yes but more over, it's more like Ghost Belle where you run Targets for the opponent in schizo piles that can afford the extra space in the ED, like Labrynth. The key to Metaltronus cost is that it banishes "face-down" which prevents Maliss from recurring. If Opponent is only running 1 Maliss boss name, like White Binder or Red Ransom, and you banish it face-down, it's normally just out completely, as I understand it.

Depends on how many seed/bloom you're running, 3 seed and 1-3 bloom you can do your regular traptrix combo, then toss a traptrix to summon seed and get a stag sovereign out of it. If you're just using 1 of each ragnaraika card, you need to summon jasmine with sera and dionaea, tribute any monster (you usually have enough materials to make strenna, who cheats out hyperiton when tributed) to summon evil seed from deck and go from there.

Ragnaraika is a shitty engine by the way, the only deck that benefits from it is 60 card plantslop, because the locks it imposes don't fucking matter. You're better off shoving ryzeal or even fiendsmith in traptrix.

Okay after nearly a week of research, grinding resources to build my deck, and playtesting I finally feel like I can really "begin" to play YGO. Completely new player, i'm mainly a magic player and put off YGO for years because of the memes but got frustrated enough with MTG that I wanted to try YGO just to really see what's there considering it's the second most popular TCG out there and there had to be more to it beyond "le epic OTKs".

I fucked up originally because I didn't quite understand the deck yet so when I ran out of UR resources I was missing Yama and Abomination, with Yama being absolutely crucial for the deck to work and Abom being a massive payoff to actually win on my turn.

Based that's how I started too. Literally built Myutants (dogshit bottom of the barrel garbage (I love them so much)) as my first deck because it was the first deck I found a guide for that I could comprehend. So I learned the game through that. Yours is much better, good luck anon.

Some of those cards seem strange though. Kuriphoton seems completely pointless and does Unchained really play 2 Soul of Disaster now? I haven't played the new version of the deck but it was always a 0-1 of. I'd probably swap them out for something cheap like Book of Moon which is really good against both top decks right now.

Also definitely prioritize Maxx "C" whenever you have UR dust free, it's a must have that you really should have made before Fuwalos (which is just a weaker version of Maxx "C")

Same happened to me today as well. I had three back to back games where I won the coinflip and drew nothing but hand-traps.

Then, I lose the coin flip, and draw nothing but Maliss cards going second, and it's against Ryzeal. Thankfully, one of the cards was Fuwaloss, and that did allow me to ultimately win, because the helmet brain played Plug-in into the imperm column on turn 3.

the simple answer is having a Drident you can easily get to (and it's very easy to get into a Zoodiac chain) can very quickly deny plays and clear a board without having to invest any resources into it, it's basically a toolbox you throw into your ED and it frees up space in your main deck for other kinds of tools instead of just spot removal

for Pure, you can get by with Bystials if you have them lying around, Centur-Ion is generally a strong pairing too but if you don't have a Synchro deck you probably don't have that
you can also craft Void Apocalypse as a tech option if you're playing pure, it's a good get out of jail free card if your hand doesn't have any of your main starters, Stone Sweeper is also really good but that's also 3 UR's so I figure you don't have the mats for that
