I've literally seen my professional skills (web dev), which was largely a fake job anyway, become worthless in 3 years with offshoring and claude code.

Just because you know computers and programming does not mean you are immune to cope. AI investment is steadily increasing and arguing that the bubble started to pop last year just shows how wrong and delusional you are. LLMs in last year started exhibiting better visual understanding through the pelican bicycle test, AI agents, the replacement for prompttrannies started being actually useful, and AI video got major update. The rate of progress isn't a straight line, its bumpy with decades of progress happening in span of 2 months in one subfield and then jack shit happening in another 4 months. But, you're not good at actually using the language and sentence structure of news articles. Well, you can write the events you need however you want, and then just ask the AI to "write it like a news article". That's the kind of stuff what these things were intended for and are best used as - tools that assist you, but don't replace you.

Because Genie 3 is not text2game? Nobody working on it calls it videogame generator or game generator, its 3D walking environment generator with limited actions and memory. Check the collider for the ramp block, if the height difference between the player and the colliding object is within a certain range, move the character object to the new position. think the reason video games "feel the same", a lot of the time is because there aren't really any new things to do with games anymore, in regards to gameplay.
Story, worldbuilding and visuals can all be fresh and new, but to a degree, all ideas have been done already. All gameplay mechanics have been seen somewhere, barely any new genres are made, the most astounding achievements are related to graphics and not gameplay, and so on.
