The cd append would also make her recharge her S3 by turn two or 3 as well instead of just S1 with two Koyans, which would give plenty more oomph to low NP Kukus. Overall I don't think maxing her load append charge is a mistake but the incoming cd append seems to be the more impaactful one to have unlocked for her if you're struggling with coins.
