I think this is the proper end to this playthrough. As my first proper odyssey campaign I think I experienced most of what it has to offer and reached a neat end goal. We have destroyed the mech brain and setup a strong, sustainable settlement in orbit.
With a switch to nutrient paste + some "creative raider recycling", we have started the path to greatly expanding our numbers while still being able to sustainably feed ourselves. Our tribe will soon become a major player at the planetary scale, and our wealth, technology, sheer numbers and relationship with other key players (the empire, orbital traders) shall ensure prosperity for centuries to come. Is there a mod like this available?
If you research new equipment like marine armor, you can't outright build it, you have to first create marine armor prototypes.
These prototypes are more expensive to craft than the normal marine armor and their stats are randomly rolled between 20%-100% of their normal values.
Each stat is separately rolled. One prototype can have good sharp protection while having shit blunt protection.
Bonuses are multiplied by rolled percentage (like +aim% and stuff)
Penalties like equip time and move speed reduction are divided by rolled percentage multiplying it by 5 in the worst case.

Each new prototype will reroll the stats, but discard all stats that are below previous prototypes.
If first armor rolled medium blunt protection and shit sharp protection and second armor rolled shit blunt protection with good sharp protection, the second prototype will have medium blunt protection of first prototype and good sharp protection it itself rolled.

The non-prototype marine armors you can produce at normal price at the fabrication bench are only as good as the best individual stats of all the prototypes you have created.
Once all individual stats of the prototypes are above their 'awful'-values you'll get a 'breakthrough' unlocking the normal version of the marine armor and allowing higher qualities.
I.e.: You can't create excellent, good, or even normal marine armor without building prototypes which elevate each individual value above their awful value.

I don't think so. I just had to delete a sweat stain "home" area off of the asteroid map. If you land on empty areas it leaves the home zone there and same with any other zones you've painted on the ship and when you land it now paints them double and fucks up all the zones you've made. I installed them, everything looked fine in the beginning. But now I got my first recruit, and his face is fucked up. It's like he is wearing some kind of skin mask that clips facial animations. I tried to change his head type, hair, body, but it doesn't help. I think it's because his head is square and not round like everyone else, but I can't find how to change it.

You can replace almost every organ with bionics apart from the liver I believe, giving them more health points. However I think they can still lose their heads to high armor piercing damage or blunt, but most enemies in the game don't deal blunt damage.

His armor is 112% sharp, 45% blunt and 97% heat and with an excellent shield belt. He's totally in danger but most friendly fire there comes from very accurate pawns. Few shots wont kill him since I don't use armor piercing weapons myself.

Preliminary efforts are being made to carve out the mountain, which will likely act as storage and as a bunker in case of emergencies, while the actual houses will be built along the coast of the lake
A Mechanoid cluster did land and attempt to set up shop south of the lake, but since Esther dismantled the cerebrex core, they landed and were just inactive, which made them easy enough to dispatch.

i usually put them in the research lab or workshop. sleeping spots can overlap interaction spots so anywhere with room is fine if it's temporary.

somehow, some random times, my rituals dissapear from my altar, but I can do some on a ritual spot (but will get negative bonus by doing so). This seems to be fixed after saving and reloading, anyone may have any idea why this is happening, I don't have any mods installed.

First time playing again since like ten years ago or something, bought ideology, biotech and Odyssey. I had forgotten how much the game was against hoarding unless you want to get fucked by massive raids all the time. Well actually raids are easy, but even by softening psychic ships with dogshit aim mortars I still lose important pawns to them way too regularly.

I hate the wealth system. I may reroll a new colony in bitchmade easy mode because losing ain't fun.

I bought Rimworld, played vanilla for like 5 hours, decided that I like it, and bought all DLCs.
Ideology is a clusterfuck. I just spent 30 minutes starting a new game because I had to read through 1 million "memes" and other ideology options. And I don't fucking get them. They all are just massive downsides, and they are not balanced at all. Like for example you can select Rancher, you get some ranch related bonuses, but you no longer can grow food. Or you can pick Nature Primacy, you get bonus to plants and you can still eat meat. It's strictly better than Ranching.

You say it makes the game harder, but you can completely break the game too by making your colonists not mind organ harvesting, nutrient paste, or cannibalism. You can have a production specialist who will produce masterwork gear earlygame and specialists for the combat stats too.
