Nah, people have rightful gripes with this patch. K'aresh is just the needle that's breaking the camels back when it comes to the broken promises and distrust that's been built up between Blizz and the audience again with War Within.
Horde players are completely jaded at this point.
PVPers are annoyed at the state of their side of the game.
General audience is starting to get void fatigue, cosmic fatigue and Elf fatigue.
Patches keep launching with bugs
Typical patch timegating for the questing
Most people don't find Alleria to be an interesting character, Ethereals have a niche fanbase and Xal'atath's over-stayed her welcome as far as casuals are concerned.
Finally to top it all off in a nice little bow patches have felt all over the place and the narrative all expansion's felt like an aimless mess.
Of course being are getting burned out by now and starting to get more catty over the state of the game.

The main problem with K'aresh is that there's no reason to care about it.
It hinges entirely on how much you care for Ethereals, a race that's already niche and has already become boring by the time of Legion.
You're stuck with a cast of characters that have over-stayed their welcome and the devs clearly didn't have enough time to actually expand on Ethereal lore in any interesting way, so they just slapped the Brokers into them to try and pad Ethereals.

Why should I care? K'aresh is so far away from Azeroth and I've never been given a reason to even want to help Ethereals.
All I'm left with is the knowledge being the only reason I'm even doing this is because Alleria dragged me along and I already don't like Alleria, which makes me question even more why I'm even here

im new and from ffxiv (expect a mini ffxiv exodus of people like me to wow at the moment because ffxiv is in a really boring bad spot right now). i did exile's reach on my first character which was nice and a pleasant experience, then after i got to stormwind realized i got tricked into making it on a dead server aka realm is what they call them in this game, rerolled to a higher pop one, this time i chose the dragon race because apparently their mobility "racial" ability is good for priest in raiding, and now this gnome lady called chromie told me to "timewalk" to earlier expac content so now im outside of stormwind doing noob quests with absolutely zero context and no clue what's going on in the story. i really liked the tutorial exile's reach place and now i feel like i got absolutely dumped on my head. i have no idea what's happening at all. is there something resembling ffxiv msq that will give me structure/an idea of what's going on in the plot or am i supposed to just grind dungeons until 70 and figure it out from there
