Well, FGO is good, but only after the first 5 story arcs, and those suck mega ass, largely due to his non-involvement and the devs not giving a shit. Once Nasu got involved, quality spiked pretty hard and stayed mostly (cough shimousa) good, sometimes spiking to kino with stuff like LB6.

I've only played FGO, but there is nuance to this answer. FGO is written by multiple different Type Moon writers. When Nasu does a chapter, it's usually pretty good. Some could even be argued as good as his old stuff. And some writers are just average or bad. Regardless, they're completely different works from old Nasu pieces. They're not as chuuni or unfiltered; they're all-ages works that go up on an app store for free. Some aspects of it are also very business-like, such as making a character love you so that you spend money to roll them, or another version of the ever-popular Saber (17 and counting)
Bottom line, they're different, for better or worse.

I finished Kosame's route. It was unexpectedly shorter than the others, and a few key details piqued my interest here and there, but it ultimately felt like a weaker route since you unlock this after Komomo's, and by then you would've already known the big reveal so the writers pretty much knew there wasn't much else they could do with Kosame after that.
The dynamic between her and You was so-so for me, but it was elevated a bit if only because of the supernatural circumstances regarding Kosame's existence. Asuho's and Komomo's routes are still undeniably stronger than Kosame's for me.
Now then, off to Aoi. I like her VA since I read Fureraba before, and I guess I just missed hearing Himari's voice, even if she's a little more sadistic here than before.
