When {{char}} repeats my dialogue, it's slop because I literally just said one line.
When {{char}} says like 4 lines, I can usually respond to two parts okay (second is mostly the last part), but occasionally it makes a lot of sense to point out one part, and I become self-conscious when I need to "x?" then reply. It's like a user saying they're conscious of "delve" now despite having always used it before LLMs were a thing.

Pretty sure it was to show what the origin of the card was, whether it was a CAI port or made with Tavern in mind. Not sure what ROOT was off the top of my head. The practice likely died out due to the fact that since everyone stopped using CAI, eventually there stopped being anymore of those cards early on once everything was ported over to chub.
