I played Turtle with 40ms ping on the SA server and epoch with 260ms, and Epoch felt way better. I have everything you listed installed on Turtle except nampower, and I have 0 things installed on Epoch, even with a 220ms difference in ping it felt massively better, not to mention all the builtin features on the video settings that Turtle lacks. Mouse over macros don't work.
1.12 uses a completly different macro api, showtooltip doesn't work without roidmacros, you need to use pfcast to get basic controls and one of the solutions to make the client not shit is dll injection.
if you know anything about security you're probably thinking thats insane. you expect me to download a random dll file to inject rogue code into an executable are you out of your mind.
without nampower you get lag casted and it wont queue properly, this is fixed in any client past 1.12 including 3.3.5 its a problem with the 1.12, the fact we have to go back to using lag cast, losing x-ms on everycast is just a fundamental nerf to any caster.
pfcast doesn't even have target of target by default so I've got edit the lua file i've then got to set the lua to read only so it doesn't get written over, the original mouserover.lua written by shagu for pfui has alot of work arounds to deal with the fact 1.12 macros are jank, this is solved I admit by superwow but again no need to explain why .dll injections are retarded to do with closed source software. unitxpsp3, another dll to load to get basic functionality found in future clients for range and line of sight.

these work around exist becasue it's lacking in several area's and don't even get me started on UKR.
The cilents bad the fixes don't change that it just makes something that is dogshit more bearable, I'd rather have 3.3.5 that works out of the box and can has actually withstand being used for hard raid content without it's glaring flaws ruining custom content.

races that start in Freeport can also take a boat to Butcherblock which is really scenic, puts the boat rides in WoW to shame. just make sure to find someone to bind you to the area, otherwise when you die you'll respawn in Freeport and have to take the boat again to get to your corpse.

the area in front of the dwarf city Kaladim is also a great place to grind for lowbies, guards right nearby so if you get into trouble you can have them save your ass. also vendors right there so you don't have to zone into Kaladim.
