Slightly more customization would completely solve that. They added voidshell for the drifter and if they had followed through on that then you'd be able to switch out materials when they don't match.

After that all you need is a way to assign/swap material faces for each category and the game's versatility and customization is improved 10-fold.

Personally I think it's crazy they don't already have this set up. It's relatively trivial to do - at least compared to any other sort of DLC/content expansion with new gameplay mechanics, it adds more customization which players will love, and it's directly monetizable with tennogen and plat materials for warframes like they already do for colors.

It's low hanging fruit and pretty much all massive upsides for how much work is involved, and they've clearly already thought about it and started doing it - but it's just left hanging. I don't understand why. The studio is making good money, has plenty of employees, they aren't in end of life maintenance mode, and this is easy to do. It should've happened half a decade ago so what's actually stopping them?

It suffers from the same issue as archwing missions, on paper it sounds amazing- space combat, boarding action etc, but in reality is that you're floating around nowhere, trying to whittle down the enemy and jump through the hoops to take down their capital ships.

There are shittons of blueprints in the shop you can get for credits, totally worthless MR fodder weapons and even companions, that can be crafted for fairly common resources.
A big part of the MR grind is crafting all of these, claiming a couple at a time, quickly maxing them both to 30 in public Sanctuary Onslaught (very fast in Elite), deleting them to free up the slots (or if they're required to craft something else, doing that) then claiming a couple more and repeating the process.
Double affinity weekends are a great time to grind this shit out. Anything that has a superior variant/prime version elsewhere can be scrapped with a clear conscience.

The water flies out of the cannon in a very strange way. But enemies hit you very easily from the other end of the map.
Enemies don't die with heavy attacks. Only at point-blank range, only hardcore. At level 4 they don't die with 1 hit and during the long animation they have time to shoot you if you don't roll in time.
The most OP is the explosive balls, but there are only 3 of them. The fun is very short-lived...

Even when I started, I wasn't using those. Like I said, when I saw that I had to manage that for a mere 400 rubedo, it just wasn't worth it.
And I still never had to go out of my way to farm for mats except for the obvious crystals, cells and stuff like tellurium and a few morphics and maybe hexenon.
If you really want to use them for any reason, it would be to get hexenon on Jupiter.
I remember it was also buggy at the time, and you had to craft more because they would break etc. just not worth it.

I don't remember how much they are to build, so don't build them if it seems restrictive. But you only need to build 3 or 4 titan (or whichever the highest tier extractor is besides the premium Regal Aya one), shuffle them around every time you recollect them and they shouldn't ever break. Zariman is a good place to put it since it's the only place to get Voidgel Orbs and Entrati Lanthorn.
Jupiter also for Hexenon. Third planet can be whichever.
They're good for being passive and only takes a few clicks. I don't bother keeping it up all the time either. I only do it when I log in for the day and redeploy them the next day.
