Not to go too far offtopic but I kind of had this realization that when you look up stuff on reddit for advice these days the answers have the same connection to reality as a kid or a retiree does. Like when you look up stuff about like neighbours making too much noise people tell you to put like nails on their driveway and petition the local government. Or you look up stuff about having trouble finding a job and people will tell you to take down the entire corporate system. They don't really have any experience solving problems so they come up with these grandiose cartoon solutions.

While I agree that gacha skins/interactions is incredibly stupid move, the doomposters that emerged from it are even more cringe. I'm convinced most of them are already unhappy with the game, the gacha is just the straw that broke the camel's back. There's just too much doom happening for my tastes.

this game would be way better if it was a tower defense game. XCOM gameplay just doesn't work for a gacha
