I'm building out Red Hood and Helm to replace Alice and Naga. But, is this basically optimal for story progression? On bosses I'll also sometimes slot in Cinderella for the sniper, but I want to optimize for finishing story mode.

I'm now at the point that I really like the characters, and I am irritated that I can't use most of them, or even afford to level most of them.
I hope we get a non-gacha at some point in the Nikke universe, just so I can actually use my beloved Yulha.
Just finished the story. Damn chapter 40 by itself was 3+ hours long of just dialogue. I don't like the story. First time in a while were I was just bored out of my mind the entire time. There are too many plot perspectives. There are Commander, Levi, Anis, and Neon plots. The Anis plot does not interest me at all, it was so boring and way overstayed it's welcome. Anis hates the Ark cause of mean internet comments, that's so dumb. Avistar has been relegated to just be an anis stan, I guess it was foreshadowed with her name but it feels like such a waste of a character. Neon's story was okay. Commander story had it's ups and down but overall I felt like it took the story to an even more fantastical setting, nikke literally feels more magically than ever. I'm not a fan of DEEP in general, the idea there is a character that has basically a supernatural level of omniscience seems ridiculous to me. Nikke is going even more crazy with the "chosen" one trope. I'm also not a fan of the even bigger push for the "peace with rapture" plot. I just wish the plot didn't feel like it was at late stage shouen manga/anime. We don't need literal prophets in the story. Nayuta being killed and instantaneously ressurected. I already hated the explanation they gave with RH entering Rapi. How are they going to plain how Nayuta knows everything just by looking/touch something briefly, Nano machines? The best thing to come out of the main story was how attractive Liberalio. Ziz was pretty cute/cool too, looking after Levi. Laplace had her funny moments. Honestly, this most recent campaign, for the first time makes me want to take a break from nikke. It just feels like the story gets progressively worse. I just want Nikke to feel more grounded again. If they have to add magic/miracle moments, keep it unexplainable like Red Hood inside Rapi. Deep was such a big mistake, i honestly blame Walk step run/Kingdom for destroying the lore. The Absolute event is good so far though.
