This is interesting. So we know the "ultimate version" of each gen would release every 3 years exactly before wilds. Monster hunter G then 3 years it's Freedom Unite then 3 years it's 3U etc etc. but if you split the games portable vs mainline it looks way different. There's a massive 5 year gap between p3rd and generations which I guess makes sense given all they did with gen/GU. The gap for wilds is even bigger though at 6 years. Development times for both mainline and portable have doubled. We won't see P6 for like 5 years
