I'm not completely in love with SF6, but i still find some of the classic neutral interactions of the franchise that to this day, no other game has like Street Fighter. While i don't fully enjoy drive system usage and drive rush centering the game to an offense storm, i'm still interested on the modern twists the game introduces to the classic mechanics like dizzy. I have fun with SF6 regardless.

Man, training fighting games is tough, because you're at the mercy of your brain and It's ability to remember timing and motions.
Like, It doesn't feel like there's anything I can do to memorize how to time parts of combos, I just gotta keep doing it and pray my brain clicks with it. I can't know the difference between Frame 20 and 25, my brain has to figure that shit out but it often time takes so damn long, and sometimes I lose pieces of it along the way.

its all very 1 dimentional, boring, and to some extent rage inducing because you're punished for playing Street Fighter in Street Fighter.
There used to be a few unbalanced matchups but it was just the age of the game we only got a patch like once a year and that was usually a whole new version of the game with new updates , think alpha 1,2,3. Its also the case that the games got much more figured out as time went on.
This game was solved in like 4 months, and it took like a year for everyone to play "optimally"
Look at videos from when the game released, Daigo is trying to play SF and starts to get punished for doing so.
And now everyone plays the same driverush centered gameplan while never using what were once considered "strong" pokes are now just risky moves that you don't want to use more than once in a while.

Only chance at that is season 4 getting the SUPER STREET FIGHTER 6 treatment with a big overhaul to the entire game, even then it's hard to see them going back the decision to give Sagat shit fireballs. Every once in a while you'll play against someone with at least half a brain. The problem with this game is that everyone with half a brain plays brainlessly with an edge because it's the best way to play the game. I sometimes find it satisfying to shut down all the gimmicks, check the drive rush, DP the DRC, but... at the same time, the difference in effort is insane. In order to not get blown up in this game you have to be 100% on your shit, maximum focus, etc... and the other guy is probably hitting the bong between games, slouched back in his chair listening to Lil Peep, just kinda "doing stuff"... and he can win doing it because the game is designed to make him feel like doogoo oomoohoohoo and to make you feel like a rake looks like an attractive sounding rod.

I loaded up the new patch tried sagat with a rental ticket and then went back to playing Cammy and this game is DRIPPING with intense gameplay. People that think the Drive System breaks the game are wrong, it puts everyone on an even playing ground so that every match can be as intense as possible. Old Street Fighter games gloriously failed to do that one simple thing because of gatekeeping, nostalgia, and a rigid mindset that cannot accept that the future of fighting games starts with SF6.
You'll all come around eventually but ill tell you now that you're all wrong about SF6 and the more you try to fight it, the weaker you look.

It takes like 10 minutes to learn the input, and once you learn the inputs you realize its the most versatile input in the game. Removing it and replacing it with dumbshit half circles would be awful because half circles can only be done in a specific direction.

360/720 inputs don't need to be done in any specific direction or order. It doesn't even need to be a circle motion, you can do something like 4628 and still get the input.

Realistically the only tricky thing about 360 motions is pressing the punch button during the prejump frames, but again that only takes like 5-10 minutes to learn.

What in the absolute fuck do I do against these cocksucking birds that just hold up all day at all times of the match? It doesn't matter who I'm playing against I just can't fucking do anything about it and it's driving me insane. My only real AA options are cHP and Hell Attack. Half the time my cHP trades, half the time I go for Hell Attack I get stuffed since I'm reacting to their jump and their button is already out. So then I adjust and try and air-to-air faster or read their jump but I end up jumping the gun and then I just end up getting anti-aired myself when I jump.
