I like and hate the game. If this was a MoH Reboot I would probably REALLY like the game as a casual thing for like 40 bucks...

I just genuinely don't like the choices and changes they are making, but then it becomes fun again because my instinct takes over and I have fun again just because the game is fast with the kills so it floods my brain with dopamine and I endup top kills in conquest again without having to try particularly hard because I can just meta slave

If it says validation successful, you’re safe to proceed.

Now convert the disk:

Wait for it to finish. It should say conversion successful

Reboot your PC and enter BIOS immediately to switch to UEFI mode.

Step 3: Enable Secure Boot in BIOS

Restart your PC and press Delete or F2 repeatedly as it boots to enter BIOS setup.

In BIOS, go to the Boot tab or sometimes under Advanced Boot Configuration.

Find Boot Mode or CSM (Compatibility Support Module):

Set Boot Mode to UEFI only (or just UEFI).

Disable CSM if possible.

Go to the Security tab or Boot tab and find Secure Boot:
Set Secure Boot to Enabled.

Save and exit BIOS (usually F10).

Windows should boot normally with Secure Boot enabled.

msinfo32

In the System Information window, look for Secure Boot State:
It should say On if everything went well.

All BFs are arcadey.
No, BF6 is not anything like BF3/4 at all. Infantry core gunplay in 3/4 incentivizes bursting or tap firing instead of BF6's magdump, laser-ish gunplay. There was no sliding so you only had to jump for slightly boosting your movement for traversing, or for jump peeking (although crouching in 4 is stronger than in 3), not to mention that they both had movement penalties that affect weapon spread so you couldn't jump and shoot or get away with ADAD spam while ADS (Yes, I know about zouzou and its variants, they're all unintentional and should've been nuked before DICE LA moved to BF1). Bullet velocity in 3/4 is a bit more slower so you had to lead your shots especially when using sniper rifles. All weapons in BF3/4 share the same time for ADS unlike in BF6 where you're forced to use attachments to make it faster.

I see what they mean when they said they were looking at BC2. The game, honestly, is to Breakthrough what Bad Company was to Rush. The game seems to be designed around it - the maps are narrowed down to facilitate it, but because they're flags and not MCOMs, it's not a clusterfuck despite having twice the player count.

Also, this is a positioningchad's game. TTK is too low and the guns are lasers if you control the recoil since the cone of fire bloom is way lower than prior games.

The TTD problem isn't a problem. With the TTK this low, if you get shot by two guys at once you'll die before your brains even registers you're being shot. No way around it. Control your lanes, control your angles.

Final thoughts on the beta from someone who logged 1000 hours across 3, 4, and 1 and hasn't retouched the franchise since

>tl;dr if you're trying to scratch the itch that BF3 or 4 scratched, this game is not going to do it for you, so don't waste $70 on it. But if you're in the market for a new twitch shooter that will probably be "current thing" for a good 3 months post release... it's your money, go for it.

This in no way feels like a battlefield game. Hear me out though, that doesn't mean that it's a bad game per se, but if you're trying to scratch the exact same itch that 3 or 4 scratched, it's not there. The fact that the maps they're giving us for the beta are all close quarters COD-style shoot fests is incredibly telling of what the final game will be.

The people who made 3, 4, and 1 no longer work at Dice. EA cleaned house after the flop that was 2042, and the new team crafted the entire game based on the feedback of their target demo, kids age 10-20. Of course they're going to cater to them with fast movement, tight quarters, and nonstop action. The vehicles are just there as "See? We still have vehicles! It's still Battlefield!" but if you drive a tank or pilot a heli you will very quickly see that they did not put any attention or care into them at all.

Also, if you think that they're not going to include crazy or outlandish skins in this game 3 months after launch, you're on crack. Anything that the devs or PR men say to the contrary is just to get you to buy the game.

The T1 grinds were actually pretty bad. Like that was maybe a week or two at most? All it needed was just plain kills, and it was something tiny too like only 1200 kills. Super skins should require a lot of work. And I like the idea of a big camo reward for clearing it for all of them. Gives incentive for people to try everything instead of just maiming one gun forever.

I have about 12 hours logged so far. Been playing bf since 2004.

The gunplay is definitely further in the cod direction than even 2042. Running around with the shoddy or the smx sliding around corners on infantry-focused maps feels more like MW19 than BF4 but to be honest I'm not disappointed by that. Kinda like it at the moment. Even if the snipers feel dead easy to use on the smaller maps we have atm.

two zones is not the problem, this gamemode worked amazingly in bf1 and it had two zones, the problem is that the maps are horrible for it, there is no point where the attacking team has cover or elevation advantage and due to the faster cqc the deffending team can easily waste ur tickets.

KOTH and conquest peak are super fun, can't stop playing them. Breakthrough is complete dogshit, haven't tried domination yet. Weapons feel nice, not nearly as good as BF1 but nice. Player movement for now doesn't feel as bad as I thought, there's not that much you can abuse with it though we'll see after launch if people find ways to abuse it.

The objectives are just horrible. Way to small and zero cover entirely.

Peak's first few are miniscule and have one tiny area to sit in that one assault can easily destroy you in. And its a pain to even get to those spots because there's so many head peaking snipers all over the place.
Cairo has shitty destruction so you're forced to have to try and get through the tiny metro like lanes. And when you do as you said you finally get to a point with pretty much zero cover and 5 angles the defenders can come from.

Not a popular opinion but I honestly think BF1 was a one hit wonder for this franchise. None of the games before or after have had such a perfect mix of visuals, gunplay, movement and objective play like BF1. Its so good and so different from the rest of the games that its more of a spinoff than Hardline was. I don't think comparing 6 to 1 is a worthwhile thing to do, and I honestly don't think you can even make a modern military battlefield game that still has the same flare and feel of battlefield 1. The maps being more simplistic architecture wise + old guns meant that game had certain liberties in terms of design that a modern military shooter just doesn't. If BF6 succeeds as just being a fun shooter with a vechile gimmick and with some large maps, its a good Battlefield game even if it isn't comparable to 1.

It's fun, but we desperately need a proper large conquest map to test the game, is the weekend map additions gonna have one of those? Rn breakthrough is not worth trying, its way too impossible to win as attackers, but conquest (when the damm match loads), domination and koth are super fun, been having a blast playing them since yesterday.

BF1 is the tightest feeling bf game for me, despite the irony of it having ww1 and prototype ww2 guns instead of modern weapons, its the only game in the series where I feel you can actually express yourself with how good you aim and how fast you are at target aquisition because all the guns feel so snappy and good. Despite the cod comparisons the beta has prompted up it doesn't feel like cod at all and the guns lack that snappyness that BF1 had.
