compared to my solo game that I dropped to play with them where I used melee, guns are ass so far. I went from one shotting orderfags with a charge attack to shooting them 6 times in the head with a pipe pistol or 4 times with the Scattershot

Sprint attack and deatomizer should not be the only viable way to kill things fast, everything in this game tank way too much.
It's especially bad with firearms. Those things are locked behind a bunch of restrictions, making them only truly available in the late game, and everything in the late game tank 30 sniper shots to the head like it's nothing.

Magbow after being upgraded is probably the best ranged weapon in the game provided you're stealthing. It's not bad in a firefight either provided you get headshots but it takes practice to hit moving targets with the bolts. Aside from that the tier 2 glock, the upgraded Grinder and either the Antique Shotty or the upgraded Spas are a good way to round out your ranged arsenal, and of course make the Deatomizer as soon as you're able because that thing is extremely cracked.

The lightning Spear is just busted in general because it arcs to additional targets. I would stick with it because you an also upgrade that later, it's probably the best melee in the game until you can make the hardlight saber and even then, that's a two-hander so the Spear will let you still use your shield.

I have a love hate with the sprinting attack. Good when it works, but the amount of fucking misses I've had due to the character deciding to kill all physical momentum and jump backwards, despite being at literally point blank at the moment of attack. I still attempt it with my one handed mace, but the shield can act as a fallback should it miss that time.
