Sprint attack and deatomizer should not be the only viable way to kill things fast, everything in this game tank way too much.
It's especially bad with firearms. Those things are locked behind a bunch of restrictions, making them only truly available in the late game, and everything in the late game tank 30 sniper shots to the head like it's nothing.

God I fucking upgrades in this game, why can't the devs do straight upgrades and always have to do stupid gimmicks that just cancel whatever bonus you get from upgrading?
The Thumper Shotgun is the perfect example of this

Praetorium is such a breath of fresh air after reactors and shadowgate. I've never been so happy to run around power blasting Order guys with the pickaxe.
Also witches are now my favorite enemy. Not too tanky, they are mobile but don't fucking teleport around you, and they don't do too much damage. Maybe one of the few enemies that are just simply fun to fight in this game.

I got through hydroplant with the magbow, grinder, and the lightning spear. You should make the deatomizer as soon as you can because it's the best weapon in the game. If you can upgrade the spas-12 shotgun, that's also pretty good for dealing with armored exors. I never made any of the lodestone shit because I wasn't sure if I'd ever get another lodestone after Canaan.

Magbow after being upgraded is probably the best ranged weapon in the game provided you're stealthing. It's not bad in a firefight either provided you get headshots but it takes practice to hit moving targets with the bolts. Aside from that the tier 2 glock, the upgraded Grinder and either the Antique Shotty or the upgraded Spas are a good way to round out your ranged arsenal, and of course make the Deatomizer as soon as you're able because that thing is extremely cracked.

The lightning Spear is just busted in general because it arcs to additional targets. I would stick with it because you an also upgrade that later, it's probably the best melee in the game until you can make the hardlight saber and even then, that's a two-hander so the Spear will let you still use your shield.

I haven't really shot magbow yet, but lodestone xbow is pretty okay. It uses bolts that you make yourself as ammo, it's semiauto and has 8 bolt mag. Fire rate is good enough to combo riot shield guys in Vousseur zone to death with shock bolts.

I have a love hate with the sprinting attack. Good when it works, but the amount of fucking misses I've had due to the character deciding to kill all physical momentum and jump backwards, despite being at literally point blank at the moment of attack. I still attempt it with my one handed mace, but the shield can act as a fallback should it miss that time.
